|b Human communities sense the value of family as a basic social unit in com¬munity and how central is the role of family in constructing society. In order to improve, enhance and achieve the ideal social life, it is functions to work on Family Support approach. There are numerous structured professional works in concerning to Family Support in Europe. In the first part, this paper explores the most descriptive definition of family support in the Irish context as example that belongs to Europe. In the second part, it discusses the key principles that under-pin a Family Support approach to practice. Additionally, the paper explains the main conceptions in Family Support practices such as: prevention & early inter-vention in the third part, partnership and participation in the fourth part, and, in the fifth part, a strengths-based approach in provision of support to meet the needs of children, young people and their families. In the sixth part, there is also a brief discussion to the application of the principles of the author's practice in field. Finally, this paper ends with conclusion and bibliography.
