المستخلص: يتناول هذا البحث مشكلات جمة في العروض والقوافي وقعت في مطبوعة تاج العروس من جواهر القاموس للعلامة محمد مرتضى الزبيدي (1205ه)، روح الله روحه، تلك المطبوعة الصادرة منجمة بدولة الكويت في أربعين مجلدا ونحو أربعين عاما؛ إذ صدر الجزء الأول من هذا المعجم الكبير بتحقيق الأستاذ عبد الستار فراج سنة (1385ه/1965م)، في حين صدر الجزء الأربعون -وهو الأخير- بتحقيق الدكتور ضاحي عبد الباقي سنة (1422ه/2001م)؛ وقد أتى تطاول سني تحقيق هذا الكتاب على طائفة من الأساطين الذين سلخ كل منهم شطرا من عمره في تحقيق قطعته، وكذا أتى هذا التطاول على الحلم في رؤية الفهارس منشورة على أيدي من حققوه وعانوا فيه ما عانوا، رحم الله حيهم وميتهم. على أن مادة البحث المبسوطة ههنا ليست إلا شيئا يسيرا منتزعا من مادة عظيمة قيدتها في أثناء صناعتي لفهارس هذا الكتاب بمطبوعتيه القديمة ومطبوعة الكويت، التي فرغت منها منذ دهر دهير. وقد أديرت مادة البحث وما تضمنه على المشكلات المتعلقة بالأوزان والقوافي وما يفضي إليهما خاصة، وترك ما وراء ذلك من أشياء تتعلق باللغة والنحو والصرف، وأشياء أخرى تتعلق بالاضطراب في متن الشعر وأسماء الشعراء ونسبة الشعر وغير ذلك من قضايا التوثيق = إلى أبحاث أخرى قد تصدر تباعا إن مد في العمر وأفسح في المجال. كسر البحث -وفقا لمادته- على قسمين: أولها يتعلق بالعروض وثانيهما يتعلق بالقوافي؛ فأما ما كان متعلقا بالعروض فعولج فيه ما يأتي: الخطأ في رسم التدوير في الأبيات المدورة، وسوق الأمثال ونحوها منثورة وهي متزنة، وإطلاق تسمية الرجز على ما كان شعرا، وسوق الشعر على هيئة رجز أو سوق الرجز على هيئة شعر، وسوق البيت كاملا شعرا كان أو رجزا وتصديره بما يدل على أنه صدر فحسب، واختلال الوزن بزيادة أو نقصان أو تقديم أو تأخير، واختلال الوزن بسبب تسهيل الهمز أو قطع المهموز، واختلال الوزن بسبب تسكين المتحرك، أو تحريك الساكن، واختلال الوزن بسبب تغيير الحركات، وترك صرف الاسم على احتياج الوزن لذلك أو صرفه في غير ضرورة ما يفضي إلى اختلال في الوزن. وأما القسم المتعلق بالقوافي فعولج فيه ما يأتي: تقييد القافية وهي مطلقة، وإهمال ضبط حرف الروي أو تنوينه، أو ضبطه بحركتين وهو منتزع من قصيدة ذات حركة واحدة، ورسم هاء الوصل في القافية تاء مربوطة أو تحريكها وهي ساكنة.

This research deals with numerous problems in prosody and rhymes that occur in Tag Alaruus publication, one of the best lexicons by the scholar Muhammad Murtada Al-Zubaidi (1205 AH), may Allah rest his soul. The publication is published in parts in Kuwait in forty volumes and in about forty years. The first part of this great lexicon was issued after the verification (authentication) of Professor Abdel-Sattar Farraj in the year (1385 AH-1965 AD), while part number forty - the last - was issued after the verification of Dr. Dahi Abdel Baqi’s (1422AH-2001AD). The prolonged years needed for the completion of this book have come upon a group of masters who devoted half of their lives in verifying their pieces. Thisprolongation affected the dream of seeing indexes published by those who verified them and suffered what they suffered to realize their dream, may God have mercy on the living and the dead. However, this research material is nothing but a simple extract from a great material that I have registered during my creation of the indexes of this book in its two old publications and the Kuwait publication which I have completed many years back. The material of the research and its contents focus on the problems related to meters and rhymes and what leads to them, in particular. Other aspects related to language, Morphology & Syntax, the disturbance in the body of poetry, the names of poets, the attribution of poetry and other issues of documentation are left behind to be tackled in other researches that may be issued later if my life is prolonged and time is available. The research is divided - according to its subject - into two parts: the first relates to prosody and the second relates to rhymes. As for what is related to prosody, the following is addressed: the error in showing rounding (line breaking) in the rounded verses, the presentation of proverbs and the like in a scattered form while they are balanced, calling Rajaz (one of the types of meters) what is in fact verse, and the presentation of verse in the form of Rajaz and vice versa. It also addresses the presentation of the whole line, whether Rajaz or verse and its fronting as if it is only the first half of the couplet, the imbalance of meter by addition, decreasing, bringing forward or delaying, the imbalance of meter due to facilitating the glottal stop or cutting the sound affected by the glottal stop, the imbalance of meter due to the addition of zero vowel for the consonants which must be followed by short vowels or adding short vowel markers where a zero vowel must be added, and the imbalance of meter due to changing the short vowels, and not adding Nunation (final post nasalized or long vowels) to satisfy the meter, or adding Nunation unnecessarily leading to an imbalance in meters. As for the section related to rhymes, the following is dealt with: restriction of the rhyme when it is absolute, neglecting the addition of short vowels to the final letter in the line or its Nunation, or adding to it diacritics of two short vowel markers while it is extracted from a poem with one short vowel marker, and the drawing of the attaching /h/ in the rhyme as bound /tā/ or adding short vowels to it while a zero vowel must be added.
