هدفت الدراسة إلى إلقاء الضوء على البيئة وأهميتها للإنسان وأهمية الحفاظ عليها وبيان الأثر السلبي لانبعاثات غاز لثاني أكسيد الكربون على البيئة وأيضا بيان كيفية احتساب انبعاثات co2 المتولدة من احتراق الوقود ودراسة إمكانية تطبيق ضريبة بيئية متمثلة بضريبة co2 في العراق. وكان اهم الاستنتاجات التي توصلت إليها الدراسة هي أن التلوث البيئي يمثل كل التغيرات التي تحصل في البيئة دون القدرة على استيعاب هذه التغيرات مما يؤدي إلى حدوث خلل في التوازن البيئي وان ضريبة co2 تمثلت بفرض ضريبة على الانبعاثات المتولدة من احتراق الوقود وحسب المعادلة المذكورة والتي يتم من خلالها احتساب كميات الانبعاثات بوحدات كغم وان تطبيق ضريبة co2 في كافة أنحاء العراق حاليا تعد عملية صعبة جدا للنقوصات التي ترافق فرض هذا النوع من الضرائب متمثلا بمعاملات الانبعاث الافتراضية بالإضافة إلى الكميات المحترقة الواجب تحويلها إلى وحدات التيرا جول ولكنها ليست بالعملية المستحيلة للحفاظ على بيئتنا في الوقت الحالي. أما اهم ما توصلت إليه الدراسة هو أن الضريبة البيئية بكافة أنواعها تمثل موردا أساسيا لإعادة بناء البيئة العراقية والتي تعد حالياً مدمرة بسبب كثرة الغازات المنبعثة وعدم وجود وسائل حقيقية وفاعلة لحماية البيئة من هذه الانبعاثات وان استخدام وسائل لحماية البيئة متمثلة مبدئيا باستخدام الفلاتر تقلل من الانبعاثات السامة والضارة الناتجة من احتراق مصادر الطاقة (الوقود المستخدم).

The most important finding of the study is that the environmental tax of all kinds is a major resource for the reconstruction of the Iraqi environment, which is currently destroyed due to the large number of gases emitted and the absence of real means and effective to protect the environment from these emissions and the use of environmental protection means are initially using filters reduce toxic emissions And the harm caused by combustion of energy sources (used fuel).
