يهدف هذا البحث إلى التعرف على أهمية البعد الاجتماعي كبعد جديد لقياس التنمية ودوره في تحقيق أهدافها، كما يهدف إلى تعميق النظرة لمفهوم هذا البعد وخصائصه ومستوياته، وترسيخ فكرة أن قياس مستوى المعيشة لا يقتصر فقط على دخل الفرد واستهلاك السلع وإنما يقاس أيضا بالقدرات البشرية أي ما يستطيع الفرد عمله وأن تأهيل هذه القدرات وتطويرها يعتمد على حرية الاختيار وفق متطلبات العدالة الاجتماعية المشار إليها بأهداف التنمية المستدامة، وللوصول إلى تحليل هذه المفاهيم اعتمد البحث على منهج تحليل المضمون في استنتاج الأفكار والحقائق وتحليلها وربطها ببعض، حيث اعتمد الباحث على صياغة فكرية لمشكلة البحث في شكل السؤال التالي: ما هو دور البعد الاجتماعي في تحقيق التنمية المستدامة؟ وللإجابة على مشكلة البحث ثم صياغة التساؤل التالي، هل يوجد دور حقيقي للبعد الاجتماعي في تحقيق التنمية المستدامة؟، وخلص البحث إلى جملة من النتائج تمحورت حول أهمية دور البعد الاجتماعي للتنمية المستدامة والتي أكدت على أن أهمية دور البعد للاجتماعي في تحقيق التنمية يأتي من خلال القضايا المهمة المتعلقة بهذا البعد وذلك بإظهار جوانب هذه القضايا ورصد مؤشراتها وتعميق النظرة إلى أهمية معالجتها وإلى ضرورة إجراء تغيرات جوهرية في المجتمع لكي تقوم التنمية على قاعدة صلبة تضمن استدامتها.
This Research aims to identify the importance of the social dimension as a new dimension to measure development and its role in achieving its goals, as well as deepening the perception of its concept, characteristics and levels, and establishing the idea that measuring the standard of living is not only limited to individual income and consumption of goods, but is also measured by human capabilities i.e. What an individual can do and that qualification and development of these capabilities depends on freedom of choice according to the requirements of social justice referred to in the goals of sustainable development, and to reach an analysis of these concepts, this research relied on Content analysis in the conclusion of ideas and facts and analyzed and linked to each other, The researcher adopted the drafting of thought of the research problem in the form of the following question: What is the role of the social dimension in achieving sustainable development? To answer the research problem the following question is formulated, is there a real role for the social dimension in achieving sustainable development ?, The research concluded with a set of results centered on the importance of the role of the social dimension for sustainable development, which emphasized that the importance of the role of the dimension in achieving development comes through important issues Related to this dimension by showing its aspects, monitoring its indicators and deepening the view to the importance of addressing it and to the necessity of making fundamental changes in society in order for development to be based on a solid foundation that guarantees its sustainability.
