تأتي هذه الدراسة كحلقة وصل بين ما قدم من جهود بحثية عديدة حول الإمام الشافعي ومذهبه الفقهي وسبقه الأصولي، وبين مناهج البحث العلمي التي يكثر الاهتمام بها في جميع المجالات ومختلف المؤسسات العلمية والبحثية. فقد خصص هذا البحث لدراسة منهج البحث عند الإمام الشافعي في كتاب الرسالة الأصولية وأثره فيما تبعه من عصور. وتوصل الباحث إلى نتائج هامة تتمثل بالوقوف على مناهج متعددة وخصائص متميزة في كتاب الرسالة سواء في الناحية الأصولية أو في منهج التفسير والنظر في الأمور المطروحة للبحث عموما، كما توصل إلى أن للرسالة خصائص منهجية متميزة، وأن لمنهج البحث الذي اتبعه الشافعي فيها أثرا واضحا في علم أصول الفقه ومنهج البحث فيه خصوصا، ومنهج البحث العلمي عموما والذي ساهم في إثراء العديد من الموضوعات العلمية بعده.
This study comes as a link between the research efforts that have been provided concerning al-Shafi`i, his school, and his establishment to the science of principles of Jurisprudence, and the academic research methods with which a lot of concern is given in all of the fields of study and at various academic institutes worldwide. Thus, this paper is devoted to study the methodology of research that aI-Shafi`i has adopted in his book at- Risalah and its impact on the research methodology in the latter eras after him. However, the present research concludes a notable points such as, the fact that there are several significant methodologies which have been used in this book, whether those relating to the science of principles of Jurisprudence, or the other ones concerning the way of interpreting the various researched issues in general. In addition, it deduces that the book of al-Risalak has several distinguished methodological characteristics. Another conclusion is that there is a noticeable influence to the al-Shafi'i’s methodology followed in al-Risalah on the science of principles of Jurisprudence and the methodology of research on it in particular, and on the methodology of research in general, which has enriched many of majors after him
