المستخلص: Economic growth remained relatively sluggish in 2019, and below its potential. At the same time, the external economy has improved and remained sustainable despite certain vulnerabilities. After five years of strong fiscal consolidation efforts, the budget deficit widened again in 2019 and debt remained high. Since the beginning of 2020, COVID-19 has had a significantly negative impact on the economy and has introduced a high level of uncertainty and risk regarding its outlook.

La croissance économique est restée relativement atone en 2019, et inférieure à son potentiel. Parallèlement, l’économie extérieure s’est améliorée et restée soutenable malgré certaines vulnérabilités. Après cinq années de solides efforts d’assainissement budgétaire, le déficit budgétaire s’est de nouveau creusé en 2019 et la dette est demeurée élevée. Depuis le début 2020, la COVID-19 a un impact considérablement négatif sur l’économie et a introduit un niveau élevé d’incertitude et de risque concernant ses perspectives.
