يعد الراغب الأصفهاني من أقدم من صنف في مفردات القرآن الكريم، وكان مصنفه "معجم مفردات ألفاظ القرآن" كتابا ذا قيمة علمية يظنه الدارس للمفردات فحسب، وعند تصفحه يظهر أنه يغوص في أعماق اللفظ لغة وسياقا، فبرزت مشكلة البحث لبيان واقع هذا المصنف الذي أضرب صفحا عن المفردات مجردة إلى البيان والتفسير والمنطق، وظهرت صعوبة أخرى في تناول اللفظ من جراء تتبع المصنف له في سياق الآيات، وكان الهدف من البحث هو الوقوف على طريقة المصنف فيه والكشف عن مدى مراوحته ما بين التفسير واللغة، فجاء على قسمين: البعد اللغوي والبعد السياقي فتناول في الأولى قضايا اللغة والإعراب والتصريف والأدوات والأسماء المتضايفة والمتضادة والاستعارة والتشبيه حيث وردت. أما الثاني: فتناول اللفظ في سياقه وإلى أين صار معناه ودلالته ونفذ من خلال ذلك إلى المنطق والفلسفة وظهر في هذا الجانب أن المصنف كان أكثر ارتياحا وانفساحا من الأول وأكثر توسعا وشرحا، بل ربما وجد نفسه فيه لما له من آفاق كشأن المفسرين لذا يمكن أن يعد تفسيرا مختصرا لألفاظ القرآن وليس مجرد معجم لغوي.
Al-Ragheb Al-Asfahani is considered one of the first who categorized the lexemes of the Holy Qur'an. His masterpiece "Lexicon of lexemes of the Qur'an" was a book of academic value that learners think it is only on lexemes. And so when browsing, it appears that it explores the depths of the term linguistically and contextually. Thus, the research problem appeared to investigate the reality of this book, which not only tackled terms alone, but also with rhetoric, interpretation, and logic. Another difficulty appeared in dealing with the term as a result of tracing the book to it in the context of the verses. The objective of the research is to explore the book methodology and find out the extent of its style between interpretation and language. Therefore, it came in two sections: the linguistic dimension, where linguistics, parsing, functions, transitional devices, synonyms and antonyms, metaphor and simile were addressed. The second section deals with the contextual dimension, which discusses speech and its context and what is beyond meaning and connotation, looking deeper into logic and philosophy. In this dimension, the study showed that the book was more contented and affording and more extensive and explanatory than the first. Further, the study revealed that Al-Asfahani gave his best in this book that considered be counted A brief interpretation of the words in the Qur'an, not just a lexicon.
