المستخلص: SMEs are important for almost every country in the world, but especially for developing countries like Algeria. SMEs contribute to production by participating in the dominant economy and creating some "decent" jobs. All this information, coupled, will make SMEs the largest employer and can reduce inequality between rich and poor economies. SMEs can then become a major contributor to employment in the private sector. They play an important role in the transition of export-oriented economies from raw materials to industrial economies with transformational opportunities that can generate sustainable revenue streams and improve the development process. SMEs strengthen the expansion of systemic production capacity, provide a source of wealth, and absorb unemployment. This article aims to present and justify the weight of the Algerian SME in job creation, and its contribution to the national economy.

Les PME sont importantes pour presque tous les pays du monde, mais surtout pour ceux qui sont en développement comme l’Algérie. Les PME contribuent à la production en participant à l'économie dominante et à la création de certains emplois «décents». Toutes ces informations, couplées, feront des PME le plus gros employeur et pourront réduire l'inégalité entre les économies riches et pauvres. Les PME peuvent devenir alors un contributeur majeur à l'emploi dans le secteur privé. Elles jouent un rôle important dans la transition des économies axées sur l’exportation des matières premières vers les économies industrielles offrant des possibilités de transformation qui peuvent générer des sources de revenus durables et améliorer le processus de développement. Les PME renforcent l'expansion de la capacité de production systémique, constituent une source de richesse, et d’absorption de chômage. Le présent article a pour objet de présenter et justifier le poids de la PME algérienne dans la création d’emploi, ainsi sa contribution dans l’économie nationale.
