In order to measure the relationship between the evolution of employment and growth in the Algerian economy, we have adopted an approach of estimating a cointegration model (ARDL) of first difference. The empirical results reveal the existence of a positive and significant impact of GDP on employment in both the short and long run. However, the impact of labor force growth is contradictory, in the short run it is positive and significant, but in the long run it is negative. This is due to the fact that the rate of growth of the labor force and that of employment are different. Finally, the effect of labor force growth on employment only appears after several years of changing its pace. Afin d’apprécier la relation entre l’évolution de l’emploi et la croissance au niveau de l’économie algérienne, nous avons adopté une démarche d’estimation un modèle de cointégration (ARDL) de différence première. Les résultats issus de l' estimation de ce modèle ont révélé l’existence d’un impact positif et significatif du PIB sur l’emploi à la fois à court et à long terme. Par contre, l’impact de la croissance de la population active sur l’emploi est contradictoire, à court terme il est positif est significatif en revanche à long terme il est négatif. Ceci est lié au fait que le rythme de croissance de la population active et celui de l’emploi sont différents. Enfin, l’effet de la croissance de la population active sur l’emploi n’apparait qu’après plusieurs années du changement de son rythme. |
