Small and Medium Enterprise and its Role in Reducing Unemployment Rates in Algeria: An Analytical Reading for the Period 2010-2017

Through this study, the contribution of the small and medium enterprise to reducing the unemployment problem will be highlighted during the period from 2010 to 2017, as small and medium enterprises are considered one of the most important solutions to advance the wheel of development and reduce the unemployment problem that most countries of the world suffer from, whether developed or developing Algeria and on the basis that it is one of the countries oriented recently to the market economy, which led to the privatization of public institutions, which resulted in a high rate of unemployment in that period. This measure, in addition to other measures, worked to reduce the unemployment rate to about 11.7% in 2017. This study recommends the necessity of conducting training and awareness sessions for unemployed people, to urge and encourage them on the importance of establishing small and medium enterprises and the available income, which leads to a decrease in demand for Public jobs, which alleviates the burden of providing jobs by the government, which contributes to reducing the severity of the unemployment problem |
