المستخلص: ينوه البحث بجزء نفيس، أخذ فيه مؤلفه جريدة أسماء شيوخ ابن وهب من أبي الطاهر بن السرح، وعرضها على أحمد ابن أبي مريم فحكم على كثير منهم، كما كان لابن وضاح نفسه آراء مهمة في أكثر هؤلاء الرجال، تدل على مكانته في النقد. ولعل هذا الجزء أوسع ما دونه متقدمو الأندلسيين في الجرح والتعديل، وقد احتوى على كثير من عبارات هذا العلم المتداولة، إضافة إلى عبارات نادرة الاستعمال. وهو مشتمل على معلومات كثيرة مهمة لم تنقل معظمها في المؤلفات المتأخرة عنه، وتعداد تراجمه (259) لم ترتب ولم تستوعب. ولم يكتب لأصل هذا الجزء بقاء، إذ رتب بعد على حروف المعجم بالنسق المغربي مع إضافات عليه. وبقي منه نسختان بهذا الترتيب، أولاهما أضيف في صلبها معلومات واسعة، ثم ألحق في حواشيها زيادات كثيرة. وأما النسخة الأخرى فمتأخرة، ويبدو أنها منسوخة عن فرع للنسخة السابقة إن لم تكن عنها، وفيها خلط فاحش بين متن الأولى وحواشيها المتأخرة، أدى إلى إفسادها وعدم صلاحيتها للاعتماد. وفي البحث دراسة كافية عن هذا الجزء، تحدثت فيها أولا عن محتواه، وعرفت بالمؤلف والمؤلف فيه، وتكلمت عن مادة الجزء وأهميته. ثم عقدت دراسة عن نسخه، مؤكدا نسبته لصاحبه، وملمعا إلى مدى انتشاره، ومبينا منهجي في تحقيقه.

This study draws on a small part of Ibn Wadhah’s book (Naming chain reporters among the disciples of Ibn Wahb) as descended through Abu Tahir Ibn al-Sarh and presented to Ahmad Ibn Abi Maryam. Ibn-Wadhah had many important opinions regarding the evaluation of many of those reporters, which indicates his position in hadith criticism. This part of the book is the most extensive compilation advanced by Andalusian scholars who contributed to the knowledge of critique and modification. It contains many of terms in usage by the scholars of hadith and some rare words that are not familiar or are rarely used. It contains some rare information, most of which were not transmitted in the later literature, and the number of its translations is (259), which were neither arranged nor properly included. The origin of this part was arranged on the letters and formats of the Moroccans, but it did not survive. Two versions of this manuscript were left. The first was supplemented with some information and marginal footnotes to the original text. The other version was late, and it appears to have been duplicated from (or from a branch of) the previous version. An odd mixture between the first manuscript and its late notes obtained, which made it corruptive and unreliable. This study includes a comprehensive investigation of this part, its content, its importance and the position of its author in hadith criticism. It highlights available copies of the manuscript, confirming its attribution to the author and alluding to the extent of its later dissemination.
