|a عرف المصريون القدماء الأدب الديني منذ فجر التاريخ، وتركزت أغلب كتابات هذا الأدب في موضوع الموت والعالم الآخر، إلى جانب النصوص الدينية التي تعبر عن تصور المصري القديم للعالم الآخر، وكان من أهم تلك النصوص " كتاب الموتى" والذي ضم العديد من التعاويذ التي تساعد المتوفي في حياته الآخرة، وتساعده على الحساب أمام الاله الأكبر " أوزير"، وقديما اهتمت فئة النبلاء وخدام الآلهة وكبار الموظفين بتجهيز كتاب الموتى الخاص بهم خلال تحنيطهم ودفنهم، بحيث يذكر فيه اسمه واسم أبيه واسم أمه ووظيفته في الدنيا، وذلك استعدادا ليوم وفاته وتجهيز طقوس نقله إلى مقبرته، ولم يكن هذا الأمر متوفرا لكافة طبقات قدماء المصريين، والكتاب الذي بين أيدينا يتناول نشأة وتطور كتاب الموتى والملامح المادية والببلوجرافية لهذا الكتاب والحالة الثقافية والعلمية لدى قدماء المصريين، كما تناول اللغة المصرية والكتابة ومواد الكتابة في مصر القديمة والإنتاج الفكري لقدماء المصريين، كما ألقى الكتاب الضوء على المكتبات في مصر القديمة ودورها في نشأة وتطور كتاب الموتى كما تناول الملامح المادية والببليوجرافية لكتاب الموتى. وقام على تأليف هذا الكتاب د. محمد خميس الحباطي مدرس المكتبات والمعلومات بكلية الآداب جامعة أسيوط.
|f Since ancient times, the Egyptians possessed a rich religious literature primarily centered around themes of death, the afterlife, and their perception of the spiritual realm. One of the most renowned texts from this corpus is the "Book of the Dead," comprising numerous spells intended to aid the deceased in their journey to the afterlife and in facing judgment before the deity Osiris. Traditionally, the nobility, clergy, and high-ranking officials would commission their own personalized versions of the Book of the Dead during their funeral preparations, featuring details such as their name, lineage, occupation, and rites for their burial. However, access to such personalized texts was restricted to the elite classes of ancient Egyptian society. The book under review delves into the origins and evolution of the Book of the Dead, exploring its material and bibliographic characteristics alongside the cultural and scientific milieu of ancient Egypt. Additionally, it examines aspects such as the Egyptian language, writing systems, writing materials, and the intellectual achievements of ancient Egyptian civilization. Notably, it sheds light on the role of libraries in ancient Egypt and their influence on the creation and evolution of the Book of the Dead. Furthermore, the book discusses the physical and bibliographic attributes of the Book of the Dead. The book under review is authored by Dr. Mohamed Khamis Al-Habati, a lecturer in library and information sciences at Assiut University's Faculty of Arts.
