المستخلص: اعتادت معظم الأديرة أن تحوي خزانة أو أكثر لحفظ النقود وغيرها، واختلف شكل هذه الخزائن من دير لآخر وفقا لإمكانيات كل دير، فهناك أديرة كان تنظيم الشؤون المالية الداخلية بها محدودا، ربما لتواضعها وقلة عدد رهبانها، أو ضعف مواردها أو عزوف مؤسسيها عن الدنيا، والزهد عن الاحتفاظ بأي أموال داخل الأديرة، وأيا كان الأمر، فإنه بشكل فرضي يتصور أن جميع الأديرة كان بها على الأقل أماكن أو صناديق لحفظ النقود، إن لم تكن حجرة مخصصة للخزانة، وذلك من أجل المصروفات اليومية للرهبان. وتنوعت وثائق الأديرة ما بين وثائق اهتمت اهتماما بالغا بالشؤون المالية الداخلية للدير، وحرصت على تنظيمها وتحديد اختصاصات كل مسؤول بها، وأديرة أخرى ذكرت الخزائن وما تحويه بصورة عابرة، ونوع أخير من الأديرة لم يشر بأي صورة من الصور إلى أي خزائن؛ حيث لم تكترث بأمرها. وسوف تسلط الباحثة الضوء على خزائن الأديرة العادية التي حوت النقود، والتي كثيرا ما تداخلت مع مهام الغرف المقدسة التي حوت سندات الملكية والأواني المقدسة وغيرها من الأقمشة والأيقونات، فضلا عن خزائن الملابس، كثيرا ما كانت تختلط مهام أمين خزانة المال مع مهام أمين خزانة الملابس. ويبدو جليا أهمية أمناء الخزائن في الأديرة؛ نظرا لأهمية ما كان منوطا بهم حفظه، لذا حرص معظم مؤسسي الأديرة على وضع شروط خاصة لهؤلاء الذين يتقلدون وظيفة أمين الخزانة أو حافظ الغرفة المقدسة، وفرضوا عليهم عقوبات في حالة مخالفة القوانين. واختلف دور رئيس الدير من دير لآخر في الإدارة المالية؛ حيث نجده في معظم الأديرة يتدخل في ذلك بشكل كبير، ولا تصرف قطعة واحدة من النقود دون إذنه، في حين نجد القليل من الأديرة لا تسمح لرئيس الدير بالتدخل المباشر في الإدارة المالية.

Most of the monasteries used to contain a treasury or more to keep cash and other things, and the shape of these treasuries differed from one monastery to another according to the capabilities of each monastery. The documents of the monasteries varied between documents that paid great attention to the internal financial affairs of the monastery, and was keen to organize them and specify the functions of each official in them, to other monasteries that mentioned the safes and what they contained in passing, and a final type of monasteries that did not refer in any way to any treasuries. As she did not care about her. The researcher will shed light on the ordinary monasteries' treasuries that contained cash, which often overlapped with the functions of the sacred rooms that contained title deeds, sacred utensils and other fabrics and icons, as well as the wardrobes, as the tasks of the treasurer were often mixed with the tasks of the treasurer. The importance of treasurers in monasteries is evident. Due to the importance of what they were entrusted with preserving, most of the founders of monasteries were keen to set special conditions for those who hold the position of treasurer or secretary of the sacred chamber, and imposed penalties on them in case of violating laws, and the role of the president differed from one monastery to another in financial management. As we find in most monasteries a major interference in this and not a single piece of money is spent without his permission, while we find a few monasteries that do not allow the president to directly interfere in financial management.
