المستخلص: يسعى البحث إلى رصد تصورات الكتاب السعوديين لقضايا القصة القصيرة من خلال شهاداتهم الأدبية، وذلك بالوقوف على طبيعة الشهادات الأدبية من حيث مفهومها ودوافع تقديمها وأنواعها وبنيتها. وقد اعتمد البحث مادته على شهادات خمسة وثلاثين كاتبا، بما تضمنته من آراء حول مفهوم القصة القصيرة، وعناصرها، والموضوعات التي عبرت عنها، وعلاقتها بالأنواع الأخرى، والموقف من المتلقي. وقد انتهي البحث إلى ملاحظة تفاوت وعى الكتاب بطريقة تقديم شهاداتهم، وقصور بعضها عن الوفاء بمفهوم الشهادة إلى تغليب الجانب السير ذاتي، وتوسيع بعضهم شهاداتهم لتتداخل مع أنواع سردية أخري، وقد تشمل تجربة الكتابة عموما. لاحظ البحث عدم تقديم شهادات الكتاب مفهوما واضحا للقصة القصيرة، نظرا لطبيعة تصورهم الإبداعي القائم على الانطباعية والإنشائية. في حين كانت اللغة أهم عناصر البناء القصصي التي تميزها عن بقية الأنواع. وقد كان الاهتمام برصد التحولات الاجتماعية أوضح الموضوعات في الشهادات. كما كانت علاقة القصة بالشعر ناتجة عن طبيعة البنية اللغوية المشتركة بينهما، وعلاقتها مع الرواية نابعة من تعاقب حضورهما، وتحول الكثيرين إليها، أما القصة القصيرة جدا فقد كانت محل نظر عند كثير من كتاب الشهادات. وقد اتضح في الشهادات إدراك الكتاب أهمية المتلقي، في ضوء الاحتفاء النقدي المعاصر به، سواء المتلقي المتذوق الذي يمثل السواد الأعظم، أو الرقيب الذي يمثل السلطة، أو الناقد المحاور الذي يتماس كثيرا مع العملية الإبداعية، فكان الأكثر حضورا بين الثلاثة في الشهادات.

This research aims at surveying the developments of the Saudi writers regarding short stories through their literary testimonies through defining the nature of their literary testimony according to its concept, why it was submitted, its types and structure. This research material was based on thirty-five writers, with what they include in terms of opinions on the concept of short concept, its elements, the subjects expressed therein, its relation to the other types of short story and the response of the receiver. The research concluded that there are degree to the differences between the writers’ awareness in their way in submitting their testimony, and the defaults of some others in fulfilling the concept of testimony by giving preference to the autobiographical aspect, and some of them expanded their testimonies to overlap with other types of narrative, and may include the experience of writing in general. The research noted that the writers’ testimonies did not give a clear concept for the short story, because of their creative perception based on impressionism and constructivism, while the language is the most important element of narrative structure that distinguishes it from the rest of the types. The interest in monitoring social changes was the clearest topic in the testimonies. Also the relationship of the story with poetry was also a result of the nature of the linguistic structure shared between them, while its relationship with novel stemmed from the succession of their presence, and that many embrace it, and the very short story was under consideration by many of the writers of the testimonies. It was obvious in the testimonies that the writers realize the importance of the receiver, in light of the contemporary critical celebration of him, whether the recipient, who represents the great majority, or the monitor who represents authority, or the critic who interacts a lot with the creative process, which was the most present of the three in the testimonies.
