المستخلص: يدور البحث حول شخصية الأستاذ الزلمي (رحمه الله) واستقلاله الفكري، وعدم تبعيته أو تقليده للأخرين، فما كان يكره شيئا مثل كرهه لتقليد الأخرين سواء السابقين أو المعاصرين لذلك فهو مستقل فكريا وأفكاره نابعة عن دراسة وتمحيص. وقد حرصت في البحث أن أسوق الأدلة المختلفة والمتنوعة لإثبات استقلاله وتبنيه آراء وأفكار ليست لدى الأخرين، وقد قسمت البحث إلى ثلاث مباحث: في الأول منه، تحدثت عن سيرته وكان الهدف منها إظهار دراسته وجديته في طلب العلم مع ذكر أهم مؤلفاته. وفي المبحث الثاني: بينت أسباب الاستقلال والتي تلمسناها من خلال قراءة كتبه، وقد انحصرت كما رأينا: أ-حدة الذكاء والحافظة: وهذا واضح من خلال الشهادات التي حصل عليها والمؤلفات الكثيرة والمتنوعة فقد جمعت مؤلفاته وبلغت "24" مجلدا تحت عنوان "الكامل" لمؤلفات الزلمي. ب-الإعداد العلمي الرصين: لقد جمع الزلمي في دراسته بين الطريقة الملائية والأكاديمية أو بين الجامع والجامعة إلا أنه عاب على كلا الطريقتين فطريقة الجامع تجعل الطالب يتعلم العلوم من غير أن يستفيد منها، وطريقة الجامعة لا تخلق عقلية فقهية، ونحن نرى أن الأستاذ الزلمي قد استفاد من كلا الطريقتين، وجعل من جده ومثابرته طريقا للوصول إلى مراتب العلماء الكبار. ج-الاعتداد بالنفس من غير غرور أو تعالي: يمتاز الأستاذ بالاعتداد برأيه من غير أن يهاب أو يخاف من أبداءه حتى وإن جلب له النقد والعتاب وهو يجهر بأقواله ويدافع عنها ولكن أن رأى فيها عدم الصحة يذعن ويخضع للحق. وفي المبحث الثالث: نماذج تطبيقية من الاستقلال الفكري. من خلال التتبع في النتاج العلمي للأستاذ وجدنا أن ذلك يكمن في: 1-الانفرادات في الآراء. ب-مخالفة السابقين وبيان خطئ قولهم. ج-انتهاج طرق علمية للوصول إلى الحكم الشرعي تختلف عما مألوف لدى العلماء. وقد ذكرت أمثلة مختلفة وكثيرة من كتبه توضح تلك النقاط وتعزز ما قلناه. وبعد فإننا نرى أن الأستاذ الزلمي قد بلغ مرتبة الاجتهاد كما أن الله سبحانه وتعالى قد من عليه بأن مكنه أن يحيط ويجمع بين الشريعة والقانون وقليل ممن استطاع أن يصل لذلك وأبدع وأضاف إلى المعرفة في كليهما.

The research revolves around the personality of Professor Al-Zalami (may God have mercy on him) and his intellectual independence and lack of subordination or imitating others. He hates nothing like his hatred of imitating others, whether the formers or the contemporaries, so he is intellectually independent and his ideas stem from study and scrutiny. The researcher was keen to present the various and diverse evidences to prove Al-Zalami's independence and adopting opinions and ideas not held by others. It is divided into three sections: in the first one, the researcher talks about Al-Zalami's biography and the aim was to show his study and seriousness in seeking knowledge with mentioning his most important writings. In the second section: he explained the reasons for independence, which we touched by reading Al-Zalam's books which were limited to: A- The sharpness of intelligence and memory: This is evident from the testimonies he obtained and the many and varied literature. His books were collected and amounted to "24" volumes under the title "Al-Kamil" of Al-Zalami's books. B - Sober scientific preparation: In his studies, Al-Zalami combined the dictate and academic method, or between the mosque and the university, but he played around with both methods. From both methods, he made his seriousness and perseverance a way to reach the ranks of great scholars. C- Self-esteem without being arrogant: The professor is distinguished by his opinion without being afraid of expressing it, even if he brings him criticism and blame while he speaks out and defends his words; but if he sees them as incorrect, he surrenders and submits to the truth. In the third section: applied models of intellectual independence. By tracing the professor's scientific output, one finds that this lies in: A - Singleness in opinions. B - Contrasting the previous ones and stating the error of what they said. C- Adopting scientific methods to reach the legal ruling that differ from what is familiar to scholars. Various and many examples from his books have been mentioned that clarify these points and reinforce what have been said. After that, one can see that Professor Al-Zalami has reached the level of diligence, just as God Almighty has granted him the ability to encompass and combine Sharia and law, and few who were able to reach this and innovated and added to knowledge in both.
