المستخلص: في الصفحات المتقدمة طاقة خلاقة، نشأت وتعلمت وأبدعت وأنتجت في عصر وبيئة يكون الخلق والإبداع فيها من عالم الأحلام، لما تراكم في مطباتها من التلف والضعف وتنوعت وتعددت في طريقها العقبات والمعوقات التي حالت بينها وبين سبل التطور والازدهار الحضاري والفكري، ومع اشتداد الأزمات وترادف النكسات، برزت بعض المشاعل الوضاءة، لتمنح الفكر العربي الإسلامي روح الديمومة والبقاء والمواصلة، ولو في أضواء خافتة لكي لا تتحول الحياة العربية الإسلامية إلى العدم. فكان العلامة الأديب المؤرخ نعمة الله الجزائري أحد الأفذاذ الذين ساهموا في مد حلقات التواصل الفكري والثقافي والأدبي والتأريخي في التراث العربي الإسلامي في عصره والعصور التي سبقته للارتباط بعد ذلك بالعصر الحديث. كان من مبدأ نشوئه إلى آخر عمره مولعاً بطلب العلم ونشره وترويجه، كدودا لا يفتر عنه ولا يمل، كان في أسفاره يستصحب معه ما يقدر عليه من الكتب، فإذا نزلت القافلة وضعها واشتغل بها إلى وقت الرحيل، وربما يأخذ الكتاب بيده يطالع فيه وهو على ظهر الدابة في المسير، وكان من شدة ولعه من العلم والمعرفة أن قد ساح في كثير من البقاع والبلاد ولم يزل صبياً، وواجه أصنافاً من المشقات والمصائب في سبيل التحصيل حتى بلغ به الحال أنه لم يجد ما يسد به رمقه أو يضيء به سراجه للمطالعة، وكان يواجه الحياة بتصميم عجيب وإرادة عالية وعزم لا يفل، دؤوب مثابر، يزداد تعلقاً واعتناء في كتبه، فنبغ في كثير من العلوم والفنون، وصنف في التأريخ والحديث والتفسير والفقه والنحو والأدب، ومعظم مؤلفاته نافعة للناس لأنها تمس حياتهم وتعالج حالهم وسلوكهم وتزرع فيهم حب الفضيلة والخير.

If the caravan descended, he put it and worked with it until the time of departure. He might take the book in his hand and read it while he was on his back of the animal was on the journey. Where he was for his intensity of passion in science and knowledge that he roamed in many places and countries while he was still a boy. He faced various kinds of hardships and misfortunes in order to achieve his desires until he reached the state that he did not find anything to fill his soul or to eat or light his lamp to read. He was facing life with a wondrous determination, high will and unwavering determination, persistent, diligent and persistent. He increases attachment and care in his books. Where he excelled in many sciences, arts, he classified, wrote in history, speech, prose,, interpretation, jurisprudence, grammar and literature. His books are mostly benefit to people.
