المستخلص: يحتل مفهوم الخطر اليوم مكانة هامة في سوسيولوجيا المخاطر، ويعد من المداخل المعرفية الغير قابلة للتجاوز في فهم التحولات التي تعتري واقع المجتمعات المعاصرة المحفوف بالتهديدات والمخاوف والمخاطر الفردية والجماعية، وأمام تزايد الوعي بهذه المخاطر، أصبح مفهوم "المجتمع المخاطرة" شائعاً في علم الاجتماع المعاصر، نتيجة لتسارع وثيرة التحولات وغموض عواقبها ومآلاتها منذ بداية القرن العشرين. لقد نجم عن هذه التحولات دينامية فكرية وعلمية تكللت بتشييد مقاربات سوسيولوجية مختلفة مكنت من تحليل البناء الاجتماعي للمخاطر، وفهم منطق عوامل الخطر المتخللة للسلوكات والممارسات الفردية والجماعية في شتى مجالات الحياة الاجتماعية. مما دفع ببعض علماء الاجتماع إلى تطوير بعض النماذج التحليلية للخطر الاجتماعي، باعتباره حدثا محتملا، ضارا وغير متوقع أحيانا ومن الصعب التنبؤ ببدايته وبعواقبه. يروم هذا المقال التعريف ببعض جوانب سوسيولوجيا المخاطر. ويستهدف بالأساس تحديد وتحليل مفهوم الخطر كموضوع سوسيولوجي، مع التطرق بشكل مختصر لبعض المقاربات الرئيسية في سوسيولوجيا المخاطر. ويحاول الإجابة عن الأسئلة الآتية: ما الذي يعنيه الخطرسوسيولوجيا؟ وما هي معاييره؟ وما الذي جعل من المخاطر موضوعا رئيسيا ومفهوما مفتاحيا في المجتمعات المعاصرة؟ وكيف قارب وحلل علماء الاجتماع المخاطر الاجتماعية؟

Today, the concept of risk has achieved an important status within the sociology of risk. This has made it one the challenging cognitive areas that aim at understanding the transformations of modern societies, which are characterized by threats, fears, individual and collective risks. Because of the increasing awareness of these risks, the concept of "risk society" has become common in modern sociology, as a consequence of the fast transformations and their unpredictable consequences in these societies since the beginning of the twentieth century. On the basis of these transformations, a new intellectual and scientific dynamism has emerged. This has contributed to the construction of different sociological approaches which try to analyze the social structure of risks, and to understand the basis of risk factors related to individual and collective behaviors and practices that are covered by risks in various areas of social life. This has led some Western sociologists to develop some analytical models for social risk. This latter is sometimes considered a potentially harmful and unexpected event that is difficult to predict its beginning and its consequences. This article tries to introduce some aspects of the sociology of risk. It mainly aims to define and analyze the concept of risk as a sociological issue. In addition to that it tries to present some of the main approaches of the sociology of risk. Thus, what does risk mean sociologically? What are its criteria? What has made risk a major issue and a key concept in modern societies? And how have sociologists approached and analyzed social risks?

Le concept de « société du risque » est l'un des concepts fréquemment utilisés dans la sociologie contemporaine, pour exprimer l'existence sociale incertaine des individus et des groupes sociaux dans les sociétés d'aujourd'hui. Cela s'explique principalement par la prise de conscience accrue des risques, des incertitudes croissantes, de l'insécurité et de la méfiance, vu l'accélération des transformations sociétales et l'ambiguïté de leurs conséquences sur ces sociétés depuis le début du XXe siècle. Ces transformations ont généré un dynamisme intellectuel et scientifique conduisant à plusieurs approches scientifiques en Sociologie des risques dans divers domaines: social, sanitaire, technologique, professionnel et environnemental...Etc. Ces approches ont permis d'analyser la construction sociale du risque et de comprendre les logiques liées aux facteurs de risque associés aux comportements et aux pratiques individuelles et collectives les plus exposés aux risques. Certains sociologues occidentaux ont développé un ensemble de modèles analytiques du risque social, comme un évènement potentiel, nuisible, parfois inattendu et difficile à prédire (de son début jusqu'à ses conséquences). Cet article met en lumière certains aspects de la Sociologie du risque. Il vise à analyser et définir le concept de risque comme un objet sociologique transversal, tout en abordant brièvement certaines approches principales de la sociologie des risques. Alors, quelles sont les significations et les critères sociologiques du concept de risque ? Qu'est-ce qui fait du risque un objet central dans les sociétés contemporaines ? Comment les sociologues ont-ils abordé les risques sociaux?
