This article deals with an unpublished stela (JE. 99108). It found at north Saqqara in Serapeum area. It is a round-topped limestone stela with measures 16 cm in high, 3.5 cm in width and 9.5 in depth, depicts a traditional funerary scene of offering for Apis with two texts in the lower part of the stela. Based on stylistic features, the stela can be dated to the 26th or 27th dynasty. Ai first, a description of the stela will be presented, followed by notes on the significance of the scene, then a transliteration. a translation and a comment on the texts. Finally, the stela is fascinating because of the good quality of workmanship. the clear arrangement of figures and hieroglyphic text, unless the demotic text which is extremely damaged. |
