المستخلص: تهدف هذه الورقة البحثية إلى دراسة وظيفة الإيبرجوس، وهي من الوظائف التي ذكرت في الوثائق البردية من العصر البطلمي، وكان الهدف من استحدث هذه الوظيفة أمران: الأول تقديم المساعدة للجهاز الإداري اليوناني بتوفير المساعدين له في المراكز والقرى، والثاني تدريب المصريين وبعض العناصر الأجنبية على أسس الإدارة اليونانية تمهيدا لإشراكهم فيها، ومن ثم كانت مجالات عمل هذه الوظيفة غير محددة، ولكن تشمل كل ما من شأنه تقديم المعاونة للجهاز المالي والإداري في الإقليم، من الأعمال الإدارية والمالية والمصرفية، وقد جمع أرباب هذه الوظيفة بين مهامهم كمساعدين، وبين النشاط الاقتصادي الخاص، الذي كان أبرزه استئجار الأرض وزراعتها. تناقش هذه الورقة البحثية المعنى اللغوي لمسمى الوظيفة واختلاف الباحثين حوله، ومهام الإيبرجوس ونشاطه الاقتصادي، والتوزيع العرقي والإقليمي لشاغلي هذه الوظيفة، وتفسير دلالته.

This research paper aims to study the function of the Ibergus, which is one of the functions mentioned in papyri documents from the Ptolemaic era, and the aim of creating this job was two things: The first is to provide assistance to the Greek administrative apparatus by providing assistants in centers and villages, and the second is to train Egyptians and some foreign elements on the basis of management in preparation for their participation in it, the fields of this job were not defined, but it included everything that would provide assistance to the financial and administrative apparatus in the region, including administrative, financial and banking work, and the employers of this job combined their duties as assistants, and between private economic activity, which was most notably, the lease of land and its cultivation. This research paper discusses the linguistic meaning of the job title and the differences of researchers around it, the tasks of Ibergus and its economic activity, the ethnic and regional distribution of the occupants of this position, and the interpretation of its significance.
