المستخلص: The pottery industry is a popular and cultural heritage, as it is considered one of the oldest primitive industries that depend on manual work and superior skill that works to perfect this industry. This industry is an ancient craft characterized by artistic and aesthetic touches in its various forms. The pottery industry revealed the extent of the close link between the contemporary Emirati man and the past historical periods, which revealed the extent of the development of the Emirati man and helps to know the historical sequence of the civilizations of the Emirates. The basic material from which pottery is formed is clay, and this industry depends on knowing and choosing the types of sand used in its formation, since the quality of the sand and its quality help to take the shape to be made. Pottery was first discovered in the United Arab Emirates by the Danish expedition in the late fifties on Umm al-Nar Island in Abu Dhabi, and then appeared in the city of Al Ain and elsewhere in the country.
