|a تهدف هذه الدراسة إلى معرفة وجهات نظر أولياء أمور الأطفال زارعي القوقعة حول نتائج زراعة القوقعة على الطفل الأصم والأسرة من حيث الجانب اللغوي، والاجتماعي، والنفسي، والتعليمي. كما تهدف الدراسة إلى تحديد التحديات التي تواجه أولياء أمور الأطفال زارعي القوقعة قبل وبعد إجراء عملية زراعة القوقعة. ولتحقيق هذه الأهداف، استخدام الباحث المنهج الوصفي التحليلي من خلال أداة الاستبانة، وبلغت عينة الدراسة (٧٥) فردا من أولياء أمور الأطفال زارعي القوقعة في المملكة العربية السعودية. وأظهرت النتائج أن معظم أولياء أمور أطفال زارعي القوقعة راضون إلى حد كبير عن النتائج المترتبة عن زراعة القوقعة على الطفل والأسرة، حيث إن أطفالهم قد اكتسبوا ثقة أكبر، وصاروا أكثر استقلالية، وبينوا أن استخدام اللغة اللفظية ومهارات التواصل تطورت بشكل كبير لدى الطفل. كما أكد أولياء الأمور أن هناك تحديات تواجه أسر الأطفال زارعي القوقعة تتمثل في نقص مصادر المعلومات وارتفاع التكاليف المادية وضعف التأهيل السمعي في المستشفيات والمراكز الخاصة.
|b This study investigated the perspectives of parents of children with cochlear implants about the outcomes of cochlear implantation for deaf children and their families in terms of linguistic, social, psychological and educational aspects. This study also identified the challenges faced by parents of children of cochlear implants before, during and after cochlear implantation. To achieve the study’s objectives, the researcher used descriptive statistics. The sample included (75) parents of children of cochlear implants in Saudi Arabia. Data were collected using paper and online surveys and analyzed using the Statistical Package for Social Sciences (SPSS). The results show that most parents of children with cochlear implants largely satisfied with the outcome from cochlear implantation: that their children developed greater confidence, were more independent, that their communication skills and use of spoken language had developed greatly. Parents also reported that there are a number of challenges facing the families of children with cochlear implants including the lack of information sources, high financial costs, and weak auditory rehabilitation in hospitals and private centers.
