المستخلص: اهتمت الدول الأوروبية مع مطلع القرن التاسع عشر بإرسال عدة بعثات استكشافية إلى الصحراء الجزائرية، فبعد أن أحكمت فرنسا قبضتها على الجزائر سنة 1830م كثفت من إرسال البعثات والرحلات الاستكشافية إليه، وعملت على القيام بدراسات ميدانية دقيقة، مستعينة بالعديد من الباحثين والمغامرين ورجال الدين والأدباء بالإضافة إلى الضباط العسكريين لإنجاز التقارير والدراسات التي تمكن السلطة الفرنسية من التعرف على خبايا الصحراء، ودونوا كل صغيرة وكبيرة حول المنطقة، ومن الأمور التي نالت اهتمام المستكشفين-ولو بصفة قليلة-الرياضات والألعاب الترفيهية ودورها في الحياة اليومية للسكان. تعبر الألعاب والرياضات الشعبية بالصحراء عن مستوى التفكير والإبداع لدى المجتمع الصحراوي، حيث تشير كتابات المبعوثين الأوروبيين إلى أن الصحراويين أولعوا بالرياضات والألعاب الشعبية، وجعلوا منها وسائل للترفيه، والترويح عن النفس، تعبر عن ثقافة صحراوية مبنية على مبادئ التراث، ومنفتحة وقابلة للتطور والعصرنة، كما أن هذه الألعاب والرياضات الشعبية بالصحراء ممارسات ابتكارية واختبارية، تتجه نحو خلق أجواء المتعة والبهجة والترفيه، وامتحان الذكاء، والطاقة البدنية، واستغلالها بشكل حسن، وفي ذلك لها ميزة عن غيرها في كونها متجذرة في فولكور شعبي عريق له قاعدة متينة. إنها بذلك تشكل مرآة لتجسيد التراث وإحيائه، وإعادة توصيفه؛ ليكون مرجعا دائما تتناقله وتتوارثه الأجيال جيلا بعد جيل. وتتسم الألعاب والرياضات الشعبية الصحراوية بالكثير من الخصائص والمميزات كالتنوع والبساطة والتلقائية، وتنمية العقل والذكاء، والشمول، والارتباط بالثقافة والبيئة المحليتين، إلى جانب تجسيد العديد من العادات والتقاليد الصحراوية، وتختلف الألعاب الشعبية الصحراوية من لعبة إلى أخرى، من حيث الشكل والمضمون وطريقة الأداء، ويتجلى هذا الاختلاف في وجود ألعاب رجالية، وألعاب نسائية، وألعاب مشتركة بينهما، بالإضافة إلى تنوعها من ألعاب ذهنية وألعاب ترفيهية وألعاب بدنية.

With the beginning of the nineteenth century, European countries were interested in sending several exploratory missions to the Algerian desert. After France tightened its grip on Algeria in the year 1830 AD, it intensified sending missions and exploratory trips to it, and worked to carry out accurate field studies, in addition to the responders and respondents, and the responders and the responders. The military had to complete the reports and studies that would enable the French authority to identify the secrets of the desert, and write down everything small and large around the area. Among the things that attracted the explorers’ interest, albeit in a small way, were sports and recreational games and their role in the daily life of the population. The popular games and sports in the desert express the level of thinking and creativity of the desert community, as the writings of the European envoys indicate that the Saharawis have been fond of popular sports and games, and made them means of entertainment and recreation, expressing a desert culture based on the principles of heritage, open and capable of development and modernization, as well as These folk games and sports in the desert are innovative and experimental practices that tend to create an atmosphere of fun, joy, entertainment, a test of intelligence, and physical energy, and make good use of them. It thus constitutes a mirror for the embodiment of heritage, its revival, and its re characterization; to be a permanent reference that is passed down and passed down from generation to generation. Desert folk games and sports are characterized by many characteristics and advantages such as diversity, simplicity, spontaneity, development of mind and intelligence, inclusion, and connection to the local culture and environment, in addition to embodying many desert customs and traditions. Desert folk games differ from one game to another, in terms of form, content and method of performance. This difference is reflected in the presence of men's games, women's games, and common games between them, in addition to their diversity of mental games, recreational games and physical games.
