|a كان الأفراد من ذوي الاحتياجات الخاصة أو المعاقين في الماضي يلجأون إلى العزلة والانطواء، فالإحساس بالعجز يتزايد وبتفاقم ويتضاعف، وبالتالي كانت نظرتم إلى الحياة ضيقة يلفها اليأس والقنوط والكأبة. إلا أن البعض استطاع أن يحطم اليأس والعزلة وقيود الخوف والرهبة، ويتبوأ الصدارة على صفحات تاريخ الإنسانية، والإعجاب والتقدير من الجميع، ولم تعد العاهة كما كانت يخجل منها، فقد شهدت رياضة المعاقين في الفترة الأخيرة نشاطا من خلال مشاركتها في المسابقات محلية ودولية مثل الألعاب الأولمبية والمتوسطية وغيرها... لمشاركتهم ودمجهم في الحياة العامة، وعلى الرغم من الإمكانات المحدودة التي تحظى بها رياضة المعوقين لكن مشاركتها أصبح لها وجود في بعض المنافسات الرياضية لألعاب البحر الأبيض المتوسط لكنها لا تتمتع حتى الآن بنفس المستوى من التغطية الإعلامية أو التمويل مثل ألعاب الرياضيين العاديين. وهنا سنسلط الضوء في هذا المقال عن المعاقين، ومساهماتهم ضمن المنافسات الرياضية الدولية.
|b In the past, individuals with special needs or disabilities resorted to isolation and introversion, as the sense of helplessness increased, exacerbated and multiplied, and thus their view of life was narrow, enveloped by despair, despondency and depression. However, some were able to break the despair, isolation and restrictions of fear and dread, and take the lead on the pages of human history, admiration and appreciation from everyone, and the handicap is no longer as it was ashamed of it, as the disabled sport has recently witnessed activity through its participation in local and international competitions such as the Olympic Games. Mediterranean, etc. For their participation and inclusion in public life, and despite the limited possibilities enjoyed by disabled sport, its participation has become present in some sports competitions of the Mediterranean Games, but it does not enjoy so far the same level of media coverage or funding as the games of ordinary athletes. Here, we will highlight in this article about the disabled and their contributions to international sports competitions.
