المستخلص: إن البحث في تاريخ فلسطين القديم، وخاصة تاريخ القدس لم يحظ بالحد الأدنى المطلوب من الجدية العلمية، فيتوجب على الباحثين العودة إلى المصادر والنصوص الأصلية وقراءتها وفهم ما فيها بلغاتها الأصلية، لكي يتمكن من الوقوف على الأحداث التاريخية الحقيقية كما دونتها المصادر القديمة بدون تشوهات وخضوعها للأهواء من قبل المترجمين المستشرقين وتطويعها لخدمة أغراض وأشخاص بعينهم، فقد اعتمدت في هذا البحث على ما كتبه المؤرخون والجغرافيون الإغريق عن فلسطين والقدس وعن العرب. وكان الهدف من البحث وفترته الزمنية هو البحث والتنقيب عما كتبه الإغريق عن الإقليم وأن اسم فلسطين مرتبط بهذا الإقليم من القدم وكما سنبين فيما بعد، والتعامل مع هذا الموضوع أوضح لنا مدى عمق مأساتنا الثقافية بالعلاقة مع هذه المسألة حيث تفتقر المكتبة العربية عموما والمكتبة الفلسطينية بشكل خاص، إلى مرجع عن تاريخ فلسطين القديم كما ينبغي معتمد بشكل صحيح على ما كتب قديما بدون الاعتماد على الترجمة والمستشرقين، فجل الكتابات قاصرة بتعاملها مع الموضوع ضمن إطار الحروب الصليبية، إي إخضاع الحدث والتطور التاريخي لمتطلبات ولغة الخطاب الديني، أو أنها تحصر نفسها في فترة ما يسمى عهد التنظيمات، أو إلى القرن الثامن عشر للميلاد، خصوصا بالعلاقة مع مشروع محمد علي وإصلاحات إبراهيم باشا في بلاد الشام وبدء التدخل البريطاني المحتل في شؤون الإقليم، الذي لم يتعامل مع تاريخ فلسطين على إنه علم مستقل، ولا يجب أن يتم إخضاع التاريخ بشكل كامل للخطاب السياسي أو الديني.

Research in the ancient history of Palestine, especially research in the history of AL ‘Quds, did not receive the least scientific seriousness. Researchers must return to the original sources and texts, read them, and understand what is in them in their original languages, in order to be able to stand on the real historical events as recorded by the ancient sources without distortions, or subjection to the whims of orientalist translators and adapted to serve the purposes of certain persons. In this research, I relied on the books by historians, geographers and about Palestine, AL ‘Quds and the Arabs. The aim of the research to search from, the point of view of Greek and that the name of Palestine is associated with this region since long time ago, as we declare later Dealing with this issue made clear to us the depth of our cultural tragedy in relation to this issue, Where the Arab library in general, and the Palestinian library in particular, lacks a reference on the ancient history of Palestine as it should be properly based on what was written in the past without relying on translation and orientalists, in particularly, most of the writings fall short in dealing with the subject within the framework of the Crusades, i.e. subjecting the event and historical development to the requirements and language of religious discourse, or they confine themselves to the period of the so-called organizations era, or to the eighteenth century A.D., especially in relation to the project of Muhammad Ali and Ibrahim Pasha’s reforms in AL sham and the start of the occupying British intervention in the affairs of the region, which did not treat the history of Palestine as an independent science, and history should not be completely subordinated to political or religious discourse.
