المستخلص: عرض البحث للأمثال في شرح ابن عقيل على ألفية ابن مالك فجمعها من كتابه ووثقها من كتب الأمثال المختلفة وبين وجه الاستدلال بها ومنهج ابن عقيل في التعامل مع الأمثال وقد صاغ البحث هذه الأمثال في صورة مسائل نحوية مرتبة وفق ترتيب ابن مالك للألفية وقد شرحت هذه المسائل وفق المنهج التالي: ذكر كلام ابن عقيل المتضمن للمثل نصا أو مضمونا بعد أن أضع عنوانا للمسألة التي يدخل تحتها المثل وذكر الشاهد النحوي في المثل ثم أذكر آراء العلماء فيها ورأي ابن عقيل ثم أذكر الرأي الراجح فيما يبدو للباحث. وقد جاء البحث في مقدمه وتمهيد وثلاثة مباحث وخاتمة أما المقدمة فقد ذكرت فيها أسباب اختيار الموضوع وأهمية الكتابة فيه ومنهج البحث والدراسات السابقة وأما التمهيد فقد عرفت فيه بابن عقيل تعريفا موجزا لشهرته وبالأمثال أما المباحث فهي كالتالي: المبحث الأول: المعرب والمبني والابتداء والمبحث الثاني: المدح والذم والحال والنداء والمبحث الثالث: التحذير وإعراب الفعل. وأما الخاتمة فقد ذكرت فيها أهم النتائج ومنها: ١. جمع وإحصاء الأمثال في شرح ابن عقيل على ألفية ابن مالك وتخريجها من كتب الأمثال وذكر موردها ومضريها إن وجد. ٢ . بين البحث أهمية الأمثال كمصدر من مصادر اللغة وشاهد من الشواهد وذلك من خلال دراسة المسائل النحوية التي استدل لها ابن عقيل بالأمثال. ٣ . أثبتت الدراسة مع ذلك قلة استشهاد ابن عقيل بالأمثال متابعة للقدامى فإنه لم يستشهد إلا بأحد عشر مثلا وردت في تسع مسائل. ٤ . بينت الدراسة منهج ابن عقيل في الاستشهاد بالأمثال وكان كالتالي: أ. قد يستدل بالمثل وحده كشاهد على القاعدة وقد يستشهد بالمثل مع شواهد أخرى. ب. قد يذكر المثل للتمثيل به وليس للاستشهاد به. ج. يقدم المثل على الشواهد الأخرى وأحيانا يستشهد بأكثر من مثل في المسألة الواحدة. د. لا يذكر روايات المثل المتعددة. ٥ . دعا البحث إلى إعادة تخريج الأمثال التي ورد الاستشهاد بها في كتب النحو من كتب الأمثال وبيان الروايات المتعددة للمثل؛ لما في ذلك من إثراء للدرس النحوي ولعله يكون حلا لبعض الخلافات النحوية. هذا وقد ذيلت البحث بفهرس للموضوعات وثبت بالمصادر والمراجع والله أسأل أن يجعل هذا العمل خالصا لوجهه الكريم وأن يغفر لي الذلل والخطأ والله من وراء السبيل.

This study collected and documented quoted proverbs in Ibn Aqeels explanation of Alphyatu Ibn Malik Ibn Maliks one thousand-line poem in Arabic grammar pointing out his approach in making use of proverbs as grammatical proofs for linguistic grammar. These proverbs taken in its grammatical context arranged according to Alphyatu Ibn Maliks thematic order. The proverbs implicitly or explicitly mentioned in Ibn Aqeels explanation are thematically classified and explained highlighting grammatical quotation in each. The researcher provides all grammatical point of view in each one including that of Ibn Aqeel underscoring the most likely one to the researcher. This study comes into an introduction a preface three chapters and a conclusion. In the introduction the researcher points out the importance of the topic the previous literatures his methodology and the most important reasons behind the choice of the topic. In the preface the study briefly introduces what is really meant by “proverbs” as well as the well-known grammarian Ibn Aqeel. First chapter deals with Proverbs related to the Declinable the Indeclinable and Subject Nouns. In the second chapter Proverbs related to Verbs of praise and blame Adverb and vocative are highlighted. In the third chapter the study displays Proverbs related to the Verbs of Warring and Declinable Verb. In the conclusion the researcher states the most important findings of the study and his recommendations which could be summarized as following: - 1- Surveying classifying and documenting all proverbs mentioned in Ibn Aqeels explanation of Alphyatu Ibn Malik highlighting the grammatical contexts in which they are used. 2- The study shows the importance of “Proverbs” as linguistic and grammatical quotations and how they are used by Ibn Aqeel. 3- The study proves the rareness of quoting “Proverbs” for grammatical purpose and how Ibn Aqeel as well as ancient grammarians quoted only eleven proverbs in nine grammatical problems. 4- The study explains Ibn Aqeels method in quoting proverbs for grammatical proofs which varied in the following way:- a-A proverb could be singularly used as a linguistic proof for grammatical problem or it may be used with other non-proverb linguistic proofs. b- A proverb could either be used for proving a grammatical structure or just to provide an example for it. c- In proving grammatical rules proverbs are prioritized having one proverb or more to fulfill the task. d- Quoting a proverb for grammatical proofs Ibn Aqeel doesn't present different narrations of that proverb. 5- The study calls upon the documentation of all proverbs in Syntax books providing its different narrations which more likely enrich grammar lessons and may help diminishing the debate in some grammatical problems. May Allah forgive any imperfections and make this work sincere for his sake for surely He is the True Provider and the best Guide to the righteous path.
