المستخلص: عبر الأجيال صاغ الإنسان حياته وفق احتياجاته -ووضع مقومات وجوده تبعا لظروف بيئته الطبيعية والاجتماعية؛ يبدل كل يوم شيئا جديدا يؤكد به وجوده، معبرا به كفاياته الفكرية والحسية والوجدانية. ومن خلال ممارساته لقدراته العقلية والمادية، وتذوقه الفني لجوانب الحياة. كون الإنسان على أرضه بين مجتمعه شكل الثقافة التي تعبر عن ذاته وعن جوانب الحياة التي تحف به وعلاقاته بمن يشاركونه الحياة على أرضه. تحمل هذه الثقافة من مكوناتها كل خبرة ومعرفة مارسها -سواء كانت فيه نتاج تجاربه وتصوراته أو انتقلت وعايشها وامتزجت بممارسات حياته اليومية. تظهر أثارها في أنماط السلوك والعادات التي يسلكها ونوع العلاقات الاجتماعية التي يعيشها وتحمل معها أيضا تذوقه الجمالي وقيمته الأخلاقية وما يؤمن به من معتقدات وما يلتزم به من تقاليد. والحرف اليدوية تعتبر جزءا هاما من تاريخ الوجود الإنساني وبما تحمله بين منفعة خاصة بالإنسان لما تحققه من احتياجات اليومية في العديد من التخصصات، وتمثل الحرف اليدوية النسيجية أحد الأشكال الفنية البارزة في حرفنا اليدوية الهامة، والتي أصبحت الآن واحدة من أهم الفنون الشعبية المصرية المميزة بما لها من أصالة محلية تمتد جذورها عبر آلاف السنين في تاريخ مصر البعيد. ويمكن إرجاع أهمية في حرف المنسوجات اليدوية إلى أنه يتضمن تراثا فنيا رائعا جملته لنا الحضارة الإنسانية على مر العصور. والواقع إننا حينما نرى هذا التراث الفني الأصيل وما عليه من قيمة فنية لا يسعنا إلا الاعتقاد بأنه رسالة روحية انتقلت إلينا وانتشرت فيما بيننا على مر العصور. وعند دراسة التراث الفني الشعبي إنما نحاول في الواقع أن نتعرف على القدرات الإبداعية لجزء هام من الفنون البيئية المصرية والناتجة عن إبداع المجتمع المصري على مر العصور من خلال التلقائية وممارساتها خلال الحياة اليومية فالفنون الشعبية لأي مجتمع تعبر عن حضارته وتراثه وثقافته الفنية وأيضا تعبر عن القدرات الفنية والابتكارية والإبداعية للمجتمع. وعند الرجوع إلى المصادر والمراجع التاريخية نجد أن فن حرفة النسيج اليدوي في مصر لم تقتصر على العواصم الحضارية فقط بل انتشرت في العديد من المدن والقرى في جميع أنحاء البلاد مما أدى إلى تغطية جميع أرجاء جمهورية مصر العربية بحثا في مجال النسيج اليدوي وهذا كان صائبا لأنه تم البحث في العديد من المناطق التي تعمل في هذا المجال والآن توجد دراسات هامة عن حرفة النسيج اليدوي بكل منطقة في مصر والآن جاء دور تفعيل هذه الدراسات من خلال تنمية وتطوير هذه المناطق والمجتمعات من خلال تطوير أداء هذه الحرفة مما يعود على أهالي تلك المناطق بالانتعاش الاقتصادي والآن نجد الدولة تولي الاهتمام بالحرف اليدوية والصناعات الصغيرة للعمل على وجود قرية منتجة ومحافظة مصدرة مما يؤدي إلى زيادة النمو الاقتصادي. وريف مصر وصعيدها تتميز بإنتاج ذو قيمة فنية وجمالية عالية في مجال الكليم والسجاد والمعلقات، كما بها عدد من العمالة من قاطني المنطقة يعملون ويمتهنون هذه الحرفة فكان لزاما علينا أن نلقي الضوء على هذه المنطقة ونقدم عنها دراسة بحثية للتنمية والتطوير للمجتمع والحرفة اليدوية النسيجية وذلك لفتح أسواق جديدة للمنتجات (محلية وعالمية).
