المستخلص: يهدف بحث: "غايات علم الاستغراب" إلى بيان الأهداف التي يتغياها خطاب الاستغراب ويسعى لها، وذلك من خلال ضبط هذه المقاصد وتحديدها حتى لا يخرج الاستغراب عن مراده، ويدخل فيه ما ليس متناسبا مع أهدافه. وقد حصرت الغايات في خمسة مباحث، حيث يتناول المبحث الأول موضوع التعارف والتعايش باعتباره هدفا رئيسا للاستغراب، وفي المبحث الثاني سلطت الضوء على هدف الاستغراب في تعزيز الانتماء الذاتي ومعرفة مقومات النهضة في الثقافة الإسلامية، أما المبحث الثالث فقد تناولت فيه سعي الاستغراب في تأسيس منهجية علمية متينة وبناء مادة معرفية عميقة، وأما المبحث الرابع فقد كان حول غاية الاستغراب في تحقيق الاستقلال الفكري والإبداع العلمي، وأخيرا في المبحث الخامس سلطت الضوء على مقصد التمكن من أسباب القوة وبناء الثقة بالنفس. وقد سلكت في هذا البحث عدة مناهج، ومنها المنهج الاستقرائي من خلال تقصي الدراسات الاستغرابية ومعرفة أهدافها، وكذلك المنهج التحليلي من خلال تحليل النصوص في موضوع الاستغراب وفهم مراداتها، والمنهج النقدي لبيان أوجه الصواب والخطأ في أهداف الاستغراب، والإجابة على الإشكالات التي تدور حول غايات الاستغراب.

The aim of the research: “The aims of the science of Occidentalism” is to clarify the goals pursued by the discourse of Occidentalism and strive for them, by controlling and defining these purposes so that Occidentalism does not go out of its way and includes in it what is not commensurate with its objectives. The goals were confined to five topics, where the first one deals with the issue of acquaintance and coexistence as a major goal of Occidentalism, and in the second topic, it sheds light on the goal of promoting self-affiliation and knowing the elements of renaissance in Islamic culture. As for the third topic, it was about the goal of achieving intellectual independence and scientific creativity, and the fourth topic dealt with the quest for Occidentalism in establishing a solid scientific methodology and building a deep knowledge material. Finally, in the fifth topic, it sheds light on the purpose of mastering the causes of strength and building self-confidence. Several approaches have been used in the research, including the inductive approach by investigating occult studies and knowing their objectives, as well as the analytical approach by analyzing texts about Occidentalism and understanding its meanings, and the critical approach to clarifying the right and wrong aspects of the objectives of Occidentalism and answering the problems that centered around the objectives of Occidentalism.
