|a تأتي أهمية البحث في التعرف على الخصائص المساحية والشكلية لظاهرة البرك الملحية حيث تظهر في ظروف غير متوقعة، والتعرف على تصنيفها وأنماطها، وكيفية نشأتها، وعوامل تشكيلها. وقد هدف البحث إلى التعرف على العوامل والعمليات التي ساهمت في نشأة وتشكيل البرك الملحية (الخفوج)، والتعرف على خصائصها العامة والعوامل المؤثرة في نشأتها وتطورها، وكذلك التعرف على الأشكال الجيومورفولوجية المحيطة بها مع تحديد مواقعها وعمل خريطة للأشكال الجيومورفولوجية المرتبطة بها والتي ساهمت بشكل مباشر وغير مباشر في نشأتها وتطورها من أهمها الأودية الجافة وأراضي المدرجات النهرية والسهول الحصوية والأشكال الرملية المختلفة. وقد توصل البحث إلى مجموعة من النتائج أهمها أن هناك الكثير من الجوانب التطبيقية لنظم البرك الملحية (الخفوج) بالمنطقة أهمها وجود أخطار طبيعية المتمثلة في أخطار التجوية الملحية الناتجة عن أملاح القشرة السطحية بها، كذلك الأخطار التي تتعلق باستخدام رواسب البرك الملحية كتربة للبناء وأساس للمنشآت، وأظهر البحث الكثير من الإمكانات التنموية المهمة للبرك الملحية أهمها التنمية الزراعية والرعي والتوسع العمراني.
|b The importance of The research is to identify the spatial and morphological characteristics of the feature of salt ponds that appears in unexpected circumstances and identifying their classification and patterns, how they originated and the factors of formation. The research aimed to identify the factors and processes that contributed to the emergence and formation of salt ponds (Al-Khufuj), and to identify their general characteristics and factors affecting their hazard and development, as well as to identify the surrounding geomorphological feature with determining their locations and making a map of The geomorphological forms associated with them, which contributed directly and indirectly Direct in its origin and the evolution, the most important of which are basins, lands of river terraces, gravel plains and various sandy forms. The research has reached a set of results. Primary among these is that many applied aspects of the salt pond systems in the region, the most important of which is the study of the natural hazards represented by the dangers of saline weathering resulting from the salts of the surface crust in them, as well as the dangers related to the use of salt ponds sediments as soil for construction and the foundation of facilities. The research showed a lot of important development potentials. Salt ponds (Al-Khufuj), the most important of which are agricultural development, grazing and urban expansion.
