المستخلص: لما كانت التنمية المستدامة تمثل محور اهتمام كبير على المستويين العالمي، والمحلي؛ نتيجة لسعي الشعوب والحكومات الدائم لتحقيق تنمية ذات أبعاد إنسانية، وثقافية، واجتماعية، واقتصادية في إطار يعزز احترام حقوق الإنسان، ومراعاة الأجيال الحالية، وتوضر احتياجاتها دون المساس بمقدرات الأجيال القادمة، واستنزاف الثروات الطبيعية فقد عكف الباحثان على دراسة الخصائص الاجتماعية والاقتصادية للريفيين في علاقتها بالتنمية المستدامة في إحدى قرى ريف المجتمع المصري، وذلك بالتركيز على البعد البيئي للتنمية المستدامة في القرية مجتمع الدراسة. هذا بالإضافة إلى التعرف على البعد التنبؤي فيما يتعلق بمدى تحقيق التنمية المستدامة، وتحديدا في بعدها البيئي في ضوء الخصائص الاجتماعية الاقتصادية للريفيين في القرية المصرية. ولقد تم الاعتماد على المنهج الوصفي من خلال طريقة المسح الاجتماعي بالعينة، مستخدما دليل المقابلة، ومتخذا من رب الأسرة في القرية المصرية وحدة للمعاينة، وقد بلغ حجم العينة الفعلي في هذه الدراسة (٢٣٧) مفردة ممثلة لمجتمع الدراسة. وقد أظهرت نتائج الدراسة أن القوية المصرية غير مؤهلة لاستيعاب مبادئ التنمية المستدامة في بعدها البيئي، كما أن المعادلة التنبؤية باستخدام تحليل الانحدار المتدرج أكدت على أن متغير التعليم يعد من أكثر المتغيرات إسهاما في تحقيق التنمية المستدامة بالقرية المصرية مستقبلا.

Whereas sustainable development is the focus of great interest at the global and local levels; As a result of peoples and governments’ constant pursuit to achieve development with human, cultural, social and economic dimensions in a framework that promotes respect for human rights, taking into account current generations, providing their needs without compromising the capabilities of future generations, and depleting natural resources, the two researchers have been studying the social and economic characteristics of rural people in Its relationship to sustainable development in one of the villages of the Egyptian countryside, by focusing on the environmental dimension of sustainable development in the village of the study community. This is in addition to recognizing the predictive dimension regarding the extent to which sustainable development is achieved, specifically its environmental dimension in light of the socio-economic characteristics of rural people in the Egyptian village. The descriptive approach was relied on through the Sampling Social Survey method, using the interview guide, and using the head of the family in the Egyptian village as a sampling unit. The actual sample size in this study was (237) individuals representing the study community. The results of the study showed that the Egyptian village is not qualified to absorb the principles of sustainable development in its environmental dimension, and the predictive equation using gradient regression analysis confirmed that the education variable is one of the most contributing variables to achieving sustainable development in the Egyptian village in the future.
