المستخلص: هدفت الدراسة إلى التعرف على الحاجات النفسية ومستوى الطموح والتفاؤل والتشاؤم لدى طلاب الجامعة في مصر واليمن المنهج والإجراءات أجريت الدراسة على عينة كلية بلغت ٦٠٦ من طلاب الجامعة (٢٥١ ذكور -355 إناث) من كليات نظرية (تربية -أداب) وكليات عملية (علوم -هندسة) بمدى عمري تراوح من 18 -24 سنة بمتوسط عمري قدر ٢٠,٩٩ وانحراف معياري ١,٨٩ مقسمين إلى ٣٠٤ مصريين من جامعة أسيوط، ٣٠٢ يمنيين من جامعة الحديدة، طبق عليهم استبيان الحاجات النفسية للشباب لأنور محمد الشرقاوي ومقياس مستوى الطموح لآمال عبد السميع أباظة، والقائمة العربية للتفاؤل والتشاؤم لأحمد محمد عبد الخالق النتائج: أوضحت النتائج وجود فروق بين طلاب مصر واليمن في الحاجة إلى التفاعل والاحتكاك بالأخرين، والحاجة إلى تحقيق مكانة اجتماعية، والتفاؤل في اتجاه طلاب اليمن، وفي الحاجة إلى الثقافة والمعرفة والتشاؤم في اتجاه طلاب مصر، وفي النوع في اتجاه الذكور في الحاجة إلى الإنجاز وتحقيق الذات، ومستوى الطموح، والتفاؤل، وبالنسبة لمحل الإقامة وجود فروق في اتجاه الريف في الحاجة إلى التفاعل والاحتكاك بالأخرين، والحاجة إلى الإنجاز وتحقيق الذات، والحاجة إلى تحقيق مكانة اجتماعية، والحاجة إلى الثقافة والمعرفة، ومستوى الطموح، ووجود فروق في التفاعل بين تلك المتغيرات في الحاجة إلى الثقافة والمعرفة فقط، ووجود فروق في اتجاه الكليات النظرية في الحاجة إلى التفاعل والاحتكاك بالأخرين، والحاجة إلى الإنجاز وتحقيق الذات، والحاجة إلى الثقافة والمعرفة، ومستوى الطموح، وفي اتجاه الفرقة الأولى في الحاجة إلى التفاعل والاحتكاك بالأخرين، والحاجة إلى الإنجاز وتحقيق الذات، والحاجة إلى تحقيق مكانة اجتماعية، والحاجة إلى الثقافة والمعرفة، ومستوى الطموح، ووجود فروق في التفاعل بين تلك المتغيرات في الحاجة إلى التفاعل والاحتكاك بالأخرين، والحاجة إلى الإنجاز وتحقيق الذات، والحاجة إلى تحقيق مكانة اجتماعية، والحاجة إلى الثقافة والمعرفة، ومستوى الطموح، والتفاؤل.

The study aimed to identify the psychological needs and the level of aspiration, optimism and pessimism among university students in Egypt and Yemen. Curriculum and procedures: The study was conducted on total sample of 606 university students (251 males - 355 females) from theoretical colleges (faculty of education - faculty of arts) and practical colleges (faculty of science - faculty of engineering). Whose age ranging from 18-24 years, with an average age of 20.99 and a standard deviation of 1.89,It was divided into 304 Egyptians from Assiut University and 302 Yemenis from Al-Hodeidah University, on whom the psychological needs questionnaire of young people was applied to by Anwar Muhammad al-Sharqawi and level of aspiration measure of Amal Abdel Sami Abaza, And the Arab List of Optimism and Pessimism by Ahmed Mohamed Abdel Khaleq. Results: The results showed that there were differences between Egypt and Yemen in the need for interaction and contact with others, the need to achieve social status, optimism toward Yemen, the need for culture, knowledge and pessimism toward Egypt, in gender toward males In terms of the need for achievement and self-realization, the level of ambition, and optimism, and with regard to the place of residence, there were differences in the direction of the countryside in the need for interaction and contact with others, the need for achievement and self-realization, the need to achieve social status, and need for culture and knowledge, the level of aspiration, the existence of differences in the interaction between these variables in the need for culture and knowledge only, and the existence of differences in the direction of theoretical faculties in the need for interaction and contact with others, the need for achievement and self-realization, the need for culture and knowledge, the level of ambition, and in direction of the first group in the need for interaction and contact with others, the need for achievement and self-realization, the need to achieve social status, the need for culture and knowledge, the level of ambition, and the existence of differences in interaction between those variables in the need for interaction and contact with others, the need for achievement and self-realization, The need to achieve social status, the need for culture and knowledge, the level of ambition, and optimism.
