المستخلص: تعد معركة الجمل التي حدث سنة (36 ه/ 656 م)‏ من المعارك التي دارت رحاها بين المسلمين أنفسهم إذ درات المعركة في البصرة بين جيش الخلافة الإسلامية بقيادة الإمام علي بن أبي طالب -رضي الله عنه- وبين أنصار السيدة عائشة زوج النبي وطلحة والزبير أصحاب رسول الله والتي كان ها أثر واضح في نفوس المسلمين كون أهل البصرة قد غرر بهم من قبل هؤلاء وقد راح ضحيتها عدد غير قليل من المسلمين فتناولها طه حسين في كتبه.

The battle of the camel, which occurred in the year (36 AH / 656AD), is one of the battles that took place between the Muslims themselves in Basra between the army of the Islamic Caliphate led by Imam Ali bin Abi Talib (A.s) and between Mrs. Aisha, the husband of the Prophet, Talha and Zubair, the companions of the Messenger of God, It has a clear effect on the hearts of Muslims. The reason for the departure of Talha and Al-Zubayr was for personal ambitions in order to obtain positions in the state. Since, they got nothing of what they want, they incited against Imam Ali and took the demand for the blood of Caliph Othman as an excuse for the war, and they invaded the people of Basra. The war had done between the two sides, which claimed the lives of quite a few Muslims, ended with the victory of the army of Caliph Ali over the army of the Ansar of Sayyida Aisha, after the withdrawal of Al-Zubayr from the battle, which is covered by Taha Hussein in his books.
