المستخلص: تنوعت أشكال وصور واستخدامات الحبال في مصر القديمة، تللك الحبال التي كانت تصنع عن طريق اللف أو البرم ببعض الألياف وكلما رغب المصري القديم في زيادة سمك الحبل يزيد من عدد لفات البرم، وتنوعت الكلمات الدالة علي الحبل كما تنوعت أشكاله في مصر القديمة وتنوعت استخداماتها وربما أن المصري القديم قد ميز في مسميات الحبال بينها وبين المسميات الدالة عليها، فحوت اللغة المصرية علي العديد من المسميات الدالة علي الحبال وسوف نكتفي هنا بالحديث عن الحبل كرمز للقيد والعبودية في مصر القديم، فيعتبر الحبل بأنواعه سواء الرقيق أو السميكة إحدى صور العبودية والذي كان يستخدم في تقييد أسري الحروب والمذنبين والخدم والعبيد والمقصرين عن دفع الضرائب تمهيد لمعاقبتهم؛ وهناك طقس عرف باسم طقس ضرب العدو، ويرجع بداية استخدام الحبل كرمز للقيد أو العبودية إلي عصور بداية الأسرات وربما قبل ذلك، فعلي إحدى وجهي لوحة نعرمر تم تصوير منظر لأسير وهو ممسوك بحبل بواسطة المعبود حور، وتعددت المناظر التي تصور أعداء الموتي مقييدين بالحبال في مناظر العالم الآخر فربما كان له معني ديني يشير إلي إنهما لن يستطيعا أن يؤذيا عملية إعادة بعث المتوفى، كما له بعدا سياسيا بالإضافة إلى البعد الأسطوري المرتبط بالإله رع، وارتبط الحبل بعلامة السماتاوي وهو ما يعني مصر الموحدة، كما ارتبط القيد بالحبال بنوع من أنواع العقوبات الجسدية وقمع الأعداء ربما كنوع من العقوبة باللعنة، ويرجع سبب اختيار الموضوع: لما له من أهمية كبيرة في توضيح حياة المصري القديم ومدي توظيف كل العناصر المحيطة به فضلا عن استخدام الرمزية في التعبير عن الأشياء، كما يجعلنا نلقي الضوء علي طريقة تعامل المصري القديم مع الأسري والخدم والعبيد المخطئين مما يجعلنا نفهم الكثير عن الحياة الإدارية الاجتماعية في مصر القديمة، وهو ما يظهر بوضوح من خلال عرض موضوع الدراسة.
