المستخلص: إن الاعتقاد الشائع في تاريخ العلم ينسب نظرية النسبية للفيزيائي الألماني ألبرت أينشتاين، لكن الكثير من المهتمين بتاريخ الفيزياء يشككون في هذا الرأي ويؤكدون أسبقية عدد من العلماء في التوصل إلى الكثير من أفكار نظرية النسبية، ولولا جهودهم التي أطلع عليها أينشتاين لما تمكن من صياغة نظرية النسبية، إن أهمية هؤلاء العلماء تكمن في أنهم تمردوا على أفكار قديمة وطرحوا أفكارا جديدة وجريئة، مهدت لظهور نموذج جديد للتفكير في العالم الفيزيائي وفتحت مرحلة جديدة في الفيزياء.

The common belief in the history of science always relates the theory of relativity to the German physicist Albert Einstein, but many interested in the history of physics have doubt about this view, A number of scientists were able to know many of the ideas of theory of relativity before Einstein, Without their efforts, Einstein could not have built up the theory of relativity, The importance of these scientists is that they rebelled against old ideas and introduced new and bold ideas. They paved the way for a new paradigm of thinking in the physical world and opened a new phase in physics.

La croyance commune, en l'histoire des sciences, attribue à Einstein la fondation de la théorie de la relativité, mais beaucoup de personnes intéressées par l'histoire de la physique doutent de cette attribution. De ce point de vue, des scientifiques avant Einstein ont proposé des idées sur la théorie de la relativité, et s'il n'y avait pas eu leurs efforts, Einstein n'aurait pas fondé la théorie de la relativité. L'importance de ces scientifiques est qu'ils se sont rebellés contre les idées anciennes et ont présenté des idées nouvelles et audacieuses, ouvrant la voie à de nouveaux paradigmes de pensée, et ouvrant une nouvelle étape de la physique.
