المستخلص: تناولت هاته الدراسة محاولة علمية لمقارنة برامج التدريس في أقسام المكتبات والمعلومات في دولتي الإمارات والجزائر، ولتحقيق أهداف الدراسة استخدمنا المنهج الوصفي التحليلي، وكان من بين أهم ما توصلت إليه الدراسة أن برنامج الماجستير بالجامعة الأمريكية غير كاف تماما لتكوين إطارات تسد النقص الحاد والواضح في المكتبات ومراكز الأرشيف بدولة الإمارات، كما أن نوعية التكوين في الجزائر مقارنة بالإمارات من حيث الكم ومستويات التكوين مرتفعة.

This study deals with a scientific attempt to highlight the teaching programs in libraries and information departments in the UAE and Algeria. To achieve the objectives, the study used the analytical and descriptive approaches It was concluded that the Master's program at the American University is quite inadequate to form a framework that fills the acute and obvious shortage in libraries and archive centers in the UAE. In addition to that, the quality of training in Algeria compared to the UAE in terms of quantity and composition levels is high.

Cette étude porte sur une tentative scientifique visant à mettre en évidence les programmes d’enseignement dans les bibliothèques des Émirats arabes unis et d’Algérie. Pour atteindre ses objectifs, nous nous sommes appuyés sur une approche analytique et descriptive. L’étude a conclu que le programme de maîtrise à l’Université américaine ne permettait pas de créer un cadre qui comble la pénurie aiguë et évidente de bibliothèques et de centres d’archives aux Émirats arabes unis. En plus de cela, la qualité de la formation en Algérie par rapport aux Émirats arabes unis en termes de quantité et de composition est élevée.
