المستخلص: وفي عهد الدولة الأموية المختار بن عبيد الثقفي [ت 67هـ/ 686م]، والحارث بن سعيد [ت 80هـ/ 699م]، وأبو عيسى الأصبهاني، وغيرهم. وعدد شهاب الدين أحمد بن محمد بن عبد ربه الأندلسي [ت٣٢٨هـ/ ٩٤٠م] أربعة عشر شخصا ادعوا النبوة في العصر العباسي الأول [١٣٢- ٢٣٢هـ/ ٧٤٩- ٨٤٧م]، بينما ذكر أبو سعد منصور بن الحسين الرازي الأبي [ت ٤٢١هـ/ ١٠٣٠م] ثلاثة وعشرين شخصا في الفترة نفسها، بينما ذكر شهاب الدين أحمد بن عبد الوهاب النويري [ت ٧٣٣هـ/ ١٣٢٣م]، عشرة أشخاص في الفترة نفسها بينهم امرأة، وكان أشهر المدعين للنبوة في العصر العباسي الثاني [٢٣٢- 656هـ/ ٨٤٧- ١٢٥٨م] أبو الطيب المتنبي [ت 354هـ/ 965م] الشاعر، وظهر قبيل قيام دولة المماليك [658- 922هـ/ ١٢٦٠- 1516م] رجل تركماني يقال له البابا ببلاد الروم، وقتل في سنة [٦٣٨هـ/١٢٤٠م]

During the Umayyad state there were people who claimed prophethood such as Al-Mokhtar Ibn Ebaid Al-Thakfy (died in 67 H./686), Al-Hareth Ibn Saied (died in 80 H./699), Abu-Essa Al-Ashabany as well as many others. Shehab Al-Deen Ahmed Ibn Mohamed Ibn Abd- Rabu Al-Andalusi 9died in 328 H./ 940) mentioned that there were fourteen (14) persons who claimed prophethood in the First Abbasid Era (132– 232 H./ 794– 847). Additionally, Abu Saad Mansour Ibn Al-Hussein Al-Razy (died in 421 H./1030) stated that bout twenty-three (23) persons claimed prophethood in the same period; while Shehab Al-Deen Ahmed Ibn Abdulwahab al-Newairy (died in 733 H./1323) mentioned that ten (10) people including one woman claimed prophethood during this era. One of the most well-known people who claimed prophethood in the Second Abbasid Era (232– 656 H./ 847– 258) was Abu Al-Tayeb Al-Motanaby (died in 354 H. / 965). He was a prominent poet. shortly before existence of the Mameluke state (658– 922 H. / 1260- 1516), a Turkman person who was named the Pope at the Levant Region also calimed prophethood and he was killed in (638 H. / 1240). The liar Al-Motanaby who was Al-Hareth Ibn Saied who claimed prophethood at the Levant region. He was one of the servants of Abi Al-Golas; he was also a worshipper who came to Jerusalem disguised. The Umayyad Khalifa Abdulmalek Ibn Marawn (65– 86 H./ 685– 705) ordered to punish him through whipping this man who claimed prophethood. Then, he gave his orders for one of the men to kill him using a spear which led to hitting one of his ribs without killing him. this led to shouts by men who shouted loudly prophets shouldn’t be killed using weapons. When one of the truly Muslim people say such refusal, he took the spear and killed him through penetrating it in this claiming prophethood mam which led finally to his death. Sheikh Shams Al-Deen stated that this man was one of the sophisticating people who would be severely divinely punished in the hereafter because of claiming prophethood. This man was killed about the year 80 H.
