|a الومضة الشعرية بكثافتها وانطلاقها وفنيتها وتمردها ومراوغتها تأبى عن أن يحدها تعريف أو شكل أو أن تحد بمكان فهي بنت كل زمان ومكان تتشكل فيه، تجمع بين الأصالة والتجديد، فيها تتفاعل وتتلاحم الحضارات، وهي وإن راجت في الثلث الأخير من القرن العشرين فقد غدت قصيدة العصر مع بدايات القرن الواحد والعشرين عصر السرعة والكائنات الافتراضية. ويعد القاسم في صدارة الشعراء الذين خاضوا غماره الومضة من أواخر الخمسينات، وجددوا فيها عبر منجزه الشعري الذي امتد أكتر من نصف قرن، فتنوعت معماريتها في شعره، واتسعت أشكالها، وتداخلت فيها الأجناس، فامتزج فيها الشعري بالسردي، والخيالي والعجائبي باليومي والمعيش، والواقعي بالسريالي في غنائية آسرة. مستحضرا فيها الماضي ليحاور الحاضر الآني ويكشفه ليغيره من خلال التناص والترميز، محدثا الصدمة والدهشة للمتلقي. وقد دارت مضامينها حول همومه وآلامه ومعاناته التي هي هموم شعبه ووطنه، وحلمه بالحياة والتحرر من همومه وهموم وطنه، التي هي حلم وهموم إنسان عصره، فتسمعنا ومضاته أنين وأسى نفسه ووطنه وترينا وتشاركنا حلمه، ونحلق معه فيها لبزوغ أمله.

Al-Qasim is considered at the forefront of the poets who were immersed in the flash from the late fifties, and renewed in it through his poetic achievement that spanned more than half a century. And the living, and the realistic surrealist in a captivating lyrical. He evokes the past in order to dialogue with the immediate present and reveal it to change it through intertextuality and coding, causing shock and astonishment to the recipient. Its implications revolved around his concerns, pains and sufferings, which are the concerns of his people and his homeland, and his dream of life and liberation from his worries and the concerns of his homeland, which are the dream and concerns of a person of his time.
