| 520 | |b This article studies from a panel of the thirty-eight African countries, the relationship between public investments, public deficits and public debt. The results of the estimation of the PSTR model (Panel Smooth Transition Regression), initially developed by Gonzlez, Teräsvirta et Van Dijk, 2005, over the period from 1991 to 2018, lead to a robust demonstration of a threshold exerted by public debt, estimated at 110 % of total reserves, which would lead to a change in sign of the relationship between budget deficits and public investments. |d Cet article étudie à partir d’un panel constitué de trente-huit pays d’Afrique, la non linéarité dans la relation entre investissements publics, déficits publics et dette publique. Les résultats de l’estimation du modèle PSTR (Panel Smooth Transition Regression), initialement développé par Gonzalez et al., 2005, sur la période allant de 1991 à 2018, conduisent à mettre en évidence de manière robuste un seuil exercé par la dette publique estimé à 110% des réserves totales, lequel entraînerait un changement de signe dans la relation entre déficits budgétaires et investissements publics. | ||
