المستخلص: هدفت الدراسة الحالية إلى تحليل دور جامعة بني سويف في عملية التنمية وتسليط الضوء على دور الجامعة، ورسالتها في المجتمع في دفع عجلة التنمية وربط الجامعة بالمجتمع المحلي والبيئة المحيطة بها في كافة أبعاد التنمية من خلال برامجها وأنشطتها المتنوعة، التعرف على دورها في الربط بين التعليم والمجتمع من خلال برامج التنمية التي تطرحها وقد حددت الدراسة برامج الجامعة في "التنمية الصحية، التكافل الاجتماعي، والدور التثقيفي، والتنمية البيئية" كحدود للدراسة الحالية واعتدت الدراسة على نظرية إعادة الإنتاج، ونظرية الإنساق الاجتماعية كنظريات للتحليل، كما اعتمدت على مفاهيم التنمية المستدامة والمسؤولية الاجتماعية، الميزة التنافسية كمفاهيم للدراسة، واستخدمت المنهج الوصفي التحليلي، باستخدام المقابلة المتعمقة، وتحليل للسجلات والوثائق والمستندات التي توضح رؤية الجامعة والمستفيدين من خدماتها، واستنتجت الدراسة أن لجامعة بني سويف دور بارز في تنمية المجتمع أنعكس على مجتمع البحث، ألا أن برامج التنمية تحتاج إلى إعادة صياغة لتحقق التنمية المتكاملة والميزة التنافسية وهذا ما وضحة التصور المقترح المنبثق من نتائج الدراسة.

The current study aimed to analyze the role of Beni Suef University in the development process and shed light on the role of the university and its mission in society in advancing the wheel of development and the link between the university and the local community and the surrounding environment in all dimensions of development through its various programs and activities, identifying its role in linking education and society Through the development programs it presented. The study identified the university’s programs in “health development, social solidarity, the educational role, and environmental development” as the limits of the current study. The study relied on the theory of Reproduction, and the theory of Structural Functionalism as theories of analysis. It also relied on the concepts of sustainable development and social responsibility, competitive advantage as concepts for the study, and relied on the descriptive analytical approach, using the in-depth interview, and also relied on an analysis of records and documents that clarify the vision of the university and the beneficiaries of its services. The study concluded that the University of Beni Suef has a prominent role in the development of society, which was reflected in the research community, but the development programs need to be reformulated to achieve integrated development and competitive advantage, and this is what is explained by the proposed scenario emanating from the results of the study.
