|a تناول البحث دراسة أحد آلهة اليمن القديمة وهو (الإله عثتر)، فقد أظهرت النقوش مكانته بين الآلهة من خلال ألقابه وصفاته والطقوس التي كانت تقام له، حيث يتميز بصفة العمومية عند اليمن، فجميع الممالك اليمنية القديمة كانت تقدسه ويقرون بألوهيته دون أن تكن له خصوصية لأي كتلة أو قبيلة، وهذا يرتبط بعملية الري، فقد كان تتم الاستغاثة به لطلب الغيث. ويعتبر الإله عثتر (الزهرة) الركن الثالث من أركان الثالوث الكوني في الديانة اليمنية القديمة ويمثل الابن للشمس والقمر، ومن أهم ألقابه وصفاته الشارق، ذو قبض، ذو ذبيان، ذو جوفه.

The god Athtar (Venus) is considered the third pillar of the cosmic trinity in the ancient Yemeni religion, and represents the son of the sun and the moon, Among his most important titles and attributes are Al-Shariq, Dhu Qadb, Dhubyan, Dhu Jawfa.
