المستخلص: يهدف هذا المقال إلى تعريف المتحف بدءا بتعريف المصطلح، أنواع المتاحف وأهدافها، المهام الوظيفية لأمانة المتاحف القومية وأهدافها، ثم تاريخ نشأة المتاحف التاريخية في السودان، ومن ثم تسليط الضوء على متحف شيكان المجتمعي أحد المتاحف السودانية الإقليمية الهامة والتوثيق له والتعريف به من خلال سرد تاريخي وافي عن تاريخ النشأة (الموقع، المساحة، النشأة، التأسيس، سبب التسمية والافتتاح) والتعريف بالأمناء الذي تعاقبوا على إدارته منذ التأسيس 1965 م وحتي 2013 م، إضافة إلى محتوياته من مباني ومعروضات وفلسفة العرض، وتوضيح مراحل التطور التي مر بها وخطة الإدارة لتطوير عمل المتحف. ثم يقدم المقال تجربة هامة وهي ودور المجتمع المحلي في دعم عمل المتحف -رابطة أصدقاء متحف شيكان المجتمعي نموذجا، وفي هذا الجانب ركزنا على عرض الصور لأهميتها بالنسبة لنا في نجاح التجربة. ثم التطرق لإبراز نهج جديد في عمل المتاحف السودانية وهي المتاحف المجتمعية، وعرض تجربة مشروع متاحف غرب السودان المجتمعية والتي تقوم فكرته على إشراك المجتمعات المحلية في إدارة متاحفها ضمن حيز محدد، وذلك باستفتائهم عن الكيفية التي يحبون أن يكون عليها المتحف؟ حتى يتسنى للقائمين على أمره بتهيئته حسب تلك الرؤي المجتمعية لتكون بيئته جاذبة ومناسبة تمكنهم من ممارسة أنشطتهم، وبرامجهم المختلفة الخاصة بتراثهم الثقافي والاجتماعي وذلك من أجل بناء السلام المجتمعي والصون والحفاظ على التراث الثقافي واستدامته للمنطقة خاصة وللسودان عامة والذي هو محور مشروعنا الأساسي. وأخيرا الخاتمة، نتائج النهج الجديد، التوصيات التي ربما تساهم في تطوير المتاحف من خلال تجربتنا العملية في العمل بالمتاحف.

This article aims to define the museum starting with the definition of the term, the types of museums and their objectives, the functional tasks of the Secretariat of National Museums and their objectives, and then the history of historical museums in Sudan, then sheds light on the Sheikan Community Museum, one of the important Sudanese regional museums, documenting and introducing it through a complete historical narrative about the history of its origin (location, area, origin, foundation, reason for naming and opening), Introducing the trustees who succeeded in managing it from its establishment from 1965 to 2013, in addition to its contents of buildings, exhibits and philosophy of display, and clarifying the stages of development it went through and the management plan to develop the work of the museum. The article presents an important experience, namely the role of the local community in supporting the work of the museum Association of Shekian Community Museum Friends is a model, and in this aspect we focused on displaying the images because of their importance to us in the success of the experiment. Then to highlight a new approach in the work of Sudanese museums, namely community museums, to present the experience of the West Sudan Community Museums Project, whose idea is based on involving local communities in the management of their museums within a specific space, And that’s by asking them how they like the museum to be? to prepare it according to that societal vision to be an attractive and appropriate environment that enables them to practice their activities, and their various programs for their cultural and social heritage for community peace building, preserve and sustain the cultural heritage for the region in particular and for Sudan in general, which is the focus of our basic project. Finally, the conclusion, results of the new approach and recommendations that may contribute to the development of museums through our practical experience in working in museums.
