المستخلص: This article tries to approach the way through which three main actors (presidents of clubs, supporters and notabilities of the city) who usually gravitate around the local football institution can acquire forms of recognition, legitimacy and consideration, compared to other players in the city and the club. We have tried, through a field survey and semi-structured interviews with the club presidents of a football team that has just risen to the elite division, to see how, through an activity which at first sight appears to be sporting and playful, of the actors from small localities can benefit from symbolic spin-offs allowing them to access statuses described as quite prestigious. And how can the possession of sports capital be converted into prestige capital by the actors who gravitate around the football institution.

Cet article essaye d’aborder la manière à travers laquelle trois acteurs principaux (les présidents de clubs, les supporters et les notabilités de la ville) qui gravitent habituellement autour de l’institution footballistique locale peuvent acquérir des formes de reconnaissance, de légitimité et de considération, par rapport aux autres acteurs de la ville et du club. Nous avons essayé à travers une enquête de terrain et des entretiens semi-directifs réalisés auprès des présidents de club d’une équipe de football fraichement montée en division d’élite, de voir comment à travers une activité à première vue sportive et ludique ; des acteurs même issus de petites localités peuvent bénéficier de retombée symboliques leur permettant d’accéder à des statuts qualifiés d’assez prestigieux. Et comment est-ce que la détention d’un capital sportif peut être convertit en capital prestige par les acteurs qui gravitent autour de l’institution footballistique.
