|b following the reduction in budgetary and monetary leeway as well as a crisis of confidence between banks and their customers, strengthening the bank deposit guarantee system in Algeria is essential. Based on the optimal operating principles of a deposit guarantee system developed by the Basel committee, the purpose of this article is to outline the main changes to be introduced to make the deposit guarantee system in Algeria an instrument which gives guarantees to savers and brings confidence to the banking system.
|d Dans une Algérie marquée par une réduction des marges de manœuvre budgétaires et monétaires ainsi que par une crise de confiance entre les banques et leurs clients, renforcer le système de garantie des dépôts bancaires est indispensable. En se basant essentiellement sur les principes de fonctionnement optimaux d’un système de garantie des dépôts publiés par le Comité de Bâle et l’Association Internationale des Assureurs Dépôts, cet article à pour objet de tracer les principaux changements à introduire pour faire du système de garantie des dépôts en Algérie un instrument qui donne les garanties aux épargnants et apporte la confiance au système bancaire.
