المستخلص: Singing and music have been accompanying man since ancient times in human history, where man has practiced it in various aspects of his religious, social, cultural and literary life. His inclinations and tendencies were evident, and the hallmarks of singing and music for the Arabs in their ancient history were clear. As the development of singing and music was attached to the development of the literary arts in poetry, as poetry music is a branch of singing, for singing is the mother who produced poetry and its music. The Arabs used to sing the monument, extending their voices with emphasis, and weighing poetry with singing. Thus, the cultural heritage of Arabs and Muslims in singing and music was derived from poetry because it was the record of the Arabs. Ghazal poetry also laid its base in the development of singing and music in the Islamic society in the Umayyad era, as well as the Abbasid caliphs honoring the male and female singers who laid the foundations of Arab and Islamic singing and music.
