المستخلص: زيارة الأربعين هي ذكرى مرور أربعين يوما على استشهاد الإمام الحسين بن علي عليه السلام الذي ضحى بنفسه وأهل بيته وأنصاره في سبيل الدين. إذ يتوافد على مدينة كربلاء في العراق ملايين من الشيعة والسنة ومختلف المذاهب القادمين من مدن عراقية أخرى ومن خارج البلاد، لإحياء ذكرى أربعينية الإمام الحسين عليه السلام حيث أولى الأئمة المعصومين زيارة قبر الإمام الحسين عليه السلام عناية فائقة واهتمام خاص وحثوا شيعتهم على أداء هذه الشعيرة المقدسة والتأكيد عليها، وقد وردت في ذلك كثير من الأحاديث والروايات في فضل زيارة الإمام الحسين عليه السلام ومنها: قال الإمام الكاظم عليه السلام: (من زار الحسين عارفا بحقه غفر الله له ما تقدم من ذنبه وما تأخر). وقال الإمام الباقر عليه السلام: (أمرو شيعتنا بزيارة قبر الحسين، فإن إتيانه مفترض على كل مؤمن يقر للحسين بالإمامة من الله عز وجل). فلنستفيد من هذه الزيارة الاستثنائية استفادة استثنائية وليحاول كل واحد منا، خلال الأيام التي يقضيها في هذه الزيارة أن يهتم بإصلاح نفسه، ونوصي زوار الإمام الحسين عليه السلام أن يتحلوا بالصفات الإيمانية الفاضلة كالإخلاص لله تعالى والالتزام بالأخلاق الحسنة والمشاركة في انجاز الأعمال الصالحة.

The Fortieth Day Visit is a ritual named in Arabic “Al-Arba’een Visit” , it is the Yearly Pilgrimage to Imam Al-Hussain bin Ali Shrine (peace be upon him) to commemorate his Fortieth Day of Martyrdom, Imam Al-Hussain (peace be upon him) who sacrificed himself, his family, and his supporters for the sake of saving Islam. Annually, this day witnesses millions of visitors belonging to various Islamic sects: Shi'ia, Sunni, and other sects from various Iraq cities and from abroad, all heading to the city of Karbala’ in Iraq to commemorate the Fortieth Day of Imam Al Hussein’s (Peace be upon him) Martyrdom. The infallible Imams (peace be upon them) took enormous care and paid particular attention to the visit of Imam Al-Hussain’s Shrine (peace be upon him) and they urged their followers (Shi'ia) to perform the Holy Rite of Visiting Al-Hussain’s Shrine (peace be upon him). Many sacred narratives that Ahl Al Beit (peace be upon them) stated (Sacred Hadeeth) confirm the graces and merits of Imam Al Hussein’s visit (peace be upon him), below are some of such sacred narratives: Imam Al-Kathim (peace be upon him) said: "Whoever visited Al-Hussein knowing his right (as a holy Imam), God shall forgive all his wrongdoings." Imam Al-Baqer (peace be upon him) said: "command our Shi’ia (followers) to visit the Tomb of Al-Hussein, because this visit is a duty on each believer who acknowledges that God Himself bestowed the Imamah (leadership of believers) on Al-Hussein (peace be upon him) as the rightful Imam.” Let’s grasp the opportunity of this exceptional visit “Al Arba’een Visit” and try to reform ourselves during the days we spend visiting the Imam (peace be upon him). We advise the visitors of Imam Al Hussain (peace be upon him) to adopt the virtuous qualities of faith such as devotion to God, commitment to morals, and participation in good deeds.
