المستخلص: The Importance of the research: The reason why this creedal issue is so important can be summarized by the fact that not excommunicating the person who commit major sins, and the belief that he will not prevail in the Fire even if he enters it, is one of the creedal foundations that Ahl us Sunnah agreed upon. Their stance is also one of the features of their methodology and an evidence of their moderation. The chapters of the research: The research includes an introduction, two chapters and a conclusion. The preface includes a definition of major sins and the Ibadites. The first chapter includes an explanation of the doctrine of the Ibadites regarding the one who commit major and what his ruling is in this life, and their evidences for that doctrine. The second chapter contained an explanation of the doctrine of the Ibadites regarding the fate in the hereafter of the one who commit major sins, and their evidences for that doctrine. The researcher followed the inductive analytical critical method. The ending also included some conclusions: The Ibadites are a group of the Kharijites, whose affair spread in the end of the Ummayad dynasty. The group spread in Kufa and Basra, and then moved to the Maghreb. They are still present until today in Maghreb and the Sultanate of Oman. The Ibadites consider that doing all obligatory deeds and leaving all sins is a condition for the realization of faith, and if a person is negligent regarding that it can make him lose all of his faith. They also consider that a person who commits a major sin is “Kāfir kufr an-Ni’mah” (A disbeliever whose disbelief is rejecting blessings), which is hypocrisy, and a position between faith and polytheism. That doctrine is contrary to the correct creed, because the person who commit major sins does not become a disbeliever. The reason is that the basis of faith is still there and he only loses the obligatory faith and it decrease from being complete. He will not be in the Fire forever and is under the will of Allah.
