هدفت الدراسة إلى الكشف عن علاقة الأفكار اللاعقلانية بالذكاء الانفعالي والاتجاه نحو الذات لدى عينة من المراهقين، كما حاولت الكشف عن الفروق في المتغيرات السابقة تبعا لمراحل المراهقة الثلاث (المبكرة- المتوسطة- المتأخرة)، وتبعا للنوع (ذكور- إناث) بمتوسط عمري (17.89) سنة، وقد طبق عليهم ثلاثة مقاييس: مقياس الأفكار اللاعقلانية إعداد Hooper and Laynel, 1983 وقام بتعريبه معتز عبدالله، محمد عبد الرحمن عام 2002، استبيان الذكاء الانفعالي إعداد رشا الديدي عام 2005 مقياس الاتجاه نحو الذات إعداد Wunderlich and Lorr, 1994 وقام بتعريبها مجدي الدسوقي عام 2004 وتوصلت نتائج الدراسة إلى وجود علاقة إرتباطية سالبة ودالة إحصائيا بين كلا من الأفكار اللاعقلانية والذكاء الانفعالي والاتجاه نحو الذات، كما وجدت فروقا دالة إحصائيا في الأفكار اللاعقلانية والذكاء الإنفعالي تبعا لمتغير مراحل المراهقة الثلاث (المبكرة- المتوسطة- المتأخرة) في اتجاه مرحلة المراهقة المتوسطة والمتأخرة. في حين لم تظهر فروقا في الأبعاد الفرعية لمقياس الأفكار اللاعقلانية بإستثناء مقياس اللوم القاسي للذات والآخرين/ الاعتمادية/ الإنزعاج لمشاكل الآخرين/ الدرجة الكلية عند مستوى دلالة 0.05 في اتجاه الذكور، ووجود فروقا دالة إحصائيا في بعض المقاييس الفرعية لإستبيان الذكاء الانفعالي في إتجاه الذكور، كذلك وجدت فروقا دالة إحصائيا في الاتجاه نحو الذات (المقياس الفرعي: الثقة بالنفس) في إتجاه عينة الذكو.
The study devoted to explore The Relationship of Irrational Thoughts with Emotional Intelligence and Self- Orientation in a Sample of adolescents, and to explore differences in the previous Variables According to the Three Stages of adolescents (Early- Middle- Late) and According to the Gender Variables (Males- Females).The Sample of the Study Consisted of (150) Maleand Female Students from Schools and Universities with mean age (17.89) years. Were Applied Three Scales: Irrational Thoughts Scale Prepared by Hooper and Laynel 1983 and Arabized him Moataz Abdalla, Mohamed Abdel- Rahman 2002 Emotional Intelligence Questionnaire Prepared by Rasha Eldidy 2005, Self- Orientation Scale Prepared by Wunderlich and Lorr 1994 and Arabized him Magdy Eldesouky 2004. Results: Revealed That There is negative significant correlation between Irrational Thoughts, Emotional Intelligence, and Self- Orientation. Results Viewed also there are statistically significant differences in Irrational Thoughts and Emotional Intelligence According to the Variables of the Three Stages of adolescents (Early- Middle- Late) in Favor of the Middle and Late adolescents Stages. While there were no statistically Significant differences in the Sub- Dimensions of Scale of Irrational Thoughts Expects for the Scale of Marsh blame for Self and Others/ Dependence/ Discomfort with the Problems of Others and the Total Score at a significance Level of 0.05 in Favor of the Male Sample. And there were statistically significant differences in some of the Sub- Dimensions of Scale of Emotional Intelligence Questionnaire. Also, there were statistically significant differences in the Self- Orientation (Self- Confidence subscale) in Favor of the Male Sample.
