المستخلص: هذا البحث يناقش مشكلة الخطأ اللفظي في أصوات الإدغام الذي يعاني منه طلاب المستوى الثاني قسم لغة إنجليزية كلية التربية صبر جامعة عدن، واسباب حصول هذا الخطأ اللفظي من قبل الطلاب يعود إلى عدم الممارسة والتدريب الكافي للطلاب في هذا المجال وأيضا تأثير لغة الأم في النطق الصحيح وإخراج الأصوات من مخارجها الصحيحة. استخدمت هذه الدراسة أداة الاستبيان للوصول إلى معاناة الطلاب ن خلال إجابتهم على أسئلة الاستبيان والتي تتكون من ثمانية أسئلة، وتوصلت هذه الدراسة إلى بعض الحلول والمقترحات لتمكين الطلاب تجاوز وتخطي هذا الخطأ اللفظي في أصوات الإدغام.

This paper focussed on the problem of the diphthongs mispronunciation by the second level students at the English Department, Faculty of Education-Saber, University of Aden. The main reasons for the problem are the less practice of the students of these phonemes and the Mother Tongue interferences. Questionnaire was the main method for collecting the required data. It was divided into two sections of four questions each: The first section was devoted to the four general questions and the second for the four specific questions. After the explanation of the purpose and the requirements of the questionnaire items, the students responded to the questions. Based on the analysis of the results, the reasons and the nature of the problem are recognized and some solutions were suggested in this paper for the students in order to overcome the mispronunciation problem of the diphthongs.
