المستخلص: We can say that the proverb is a mask of authority insofar as its origin is not dated; it is a universal oral tradition because each country has its own proverb. It is a social production that stems from a gnomic word. The recourse to the proverb is a recourse to popular wisdom, to a "doxa" which is authoritative in the same way as a quotation from an author is an argument which attests to the validity of a reasoning and this kind of quotation is also poetic by its innumerable styles, including the anaphora and the epiphora and by its variants of signifier and referent in intertextual communication. It is in this way that the proverb imposes itself as an unshakable truth and it is the subject of our article; it is studied from the angle of intertextuality. This intertextuality also affects the analysis of Malagasy society because the poetic analysis of the proverb must not be limited to the linguistic level, it must also spill over into the socio-cultural environment in which this poetic art is produced, insofar as the language is a social institution.

On peut dire que le proverbe est un masque d’autorité dans la mesure où son origine n’est pas datée; il est une tradition orale universelle car chaque pays a son propre proverbe. Elle est une production sociale qui relève d’une parole gnomique. Le recours au proverbe est un recours à la sagesse populaire, à une “doxa” qui fait autorité de la même manière qu’une citation d’auteur est un argument qui atteste de la validité d’un raisonnement et cette sorte de citation est aussi poétique par ses innombrables styles, y compris l’anaphore et l’épiphore et par ses variantes de signifiant et de référent dans la communication intertextuelle. C’est de cette manière que le proverbe s’impose comme une vérité inébranlable et il est l’objet de notre article; il est étudié sous l’angle de l’intertextualité. Cette intertextualité touche aussi l’analyse de la société malgache car l’analyse poétique sur le proverbe ne doit pas se limiter au niveau linguistique, elle doit aussi déborder sur l’environnement socioculturel dans lequel on produit cet art poétique, dans la mesure où le langage est une institution sociale.
