المستخلص: This research aims to: 1. Introducing Imam Al-Nahhas and his book Al-Mati’ Al-Nafi’ (The Meanings of the Qur’an). 2. Explanation of the aspects of weighting between the sayings of the commentators according to Imam Al-Nahhas in his book (The Meanings of the Qur’an). 3. To highlight the position of Imam Al-Nahhas in the science of interpretation. And the approach used in preparing the inductive and descriptive approach, and the most prominent results of the research: 1. Imam Al-Nahhas, in his book (The Meanings of the Qur’an), walked on the path of the exegetes. 2. Imam al-Nahhas was not a transmitter of those who preceded him without scrutiny or criticism. 3. The different aspects of weighting on which Imam Al-Nahhas relied in giving weighting among the sayings of the commentators. Among the recommendations of the research: 1. Studying the explanatory questions mentioned by Imam Al- Nahhas in his book (The Meanings of the Qur’an). 2. Studying the verses that he formed in his book (The Meanings of the Qur’an).
