المستخلص: For more than a decade, Yemen has been, and is still, suffering immense atrocities that have resulted in a humanitarian crisis due to foreign interference. This interference of foreign powers in the Yemeni internal crisis has torn the country apart especially with the coming of Donald Trump to office. Thus, the purpose of this paper is to investigate the U.S. involvement in Yemen’s conflict and to examine the reasons behind this intervention to find whether it was motivated by humanitarian or self-interest motives. In order to achieve the objectives of this research, descriptive and analytical methods of the qualitative approach will be used in order to obtain a comprehensive review and to uncover the reasons of this interference. It is found that the U.S. interference in Yemen is governed by self-interest under the cover of counterterrorism war; and it has benefited economically and geopolitically in the region.
